Athens Unveiled: VIP Private Full-Day Ancient City Tour

We did the private group full day tour with a group of 12. Our private tour guide was just wonderful. She made the whole tour just plain awesome and enjoyable. She never rushed anyone and took the time to explain things. She was very knowledgeable. Our lunch stop at a local tavern was terrific. Everyone there was friendly and the lunch was very filling and wonderful. Our private vehicle was clean and spacious and the driver did a great job. I would certainly recommend your company to anyone if looking to do a tour of Athens.

Andreas was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable and tailored the tour to our preferences. He also had to take into account some changes to our tour due to the public holiday.

Manos was our driver for the day and was right on time picking us up from the Cruise Terminal. Our first stop was the Acropolis and the Parthenon. On the way to this amazing attraction Manos gave us some information about the areas we passed as well as history and things to be looking for at the Acropolis.We had downloaded the Rick Steves audio tour for the Acropolis which also helped in better understanding what we were looking at. Once we finished, we sent a text to Manos and he quickly picked us up by car. Our second stop was Ancient Agora of Athens and again Manos provided information about the city sites as well as some history about Ancient Agora. This was a very pleasant stop with fewer people and lots of shade. The Stoa (places of shopping) was a very nice replica. Once again, we texted Manos to let him know when finished. We had a car tour of Athens both the modern and the old city. We made a stop at the house of the President of Democracy (not to be confused with the Prime Minister) to watch the changing of the guards which was very interesting! Our next stop was lunch at a small cafe that served traditional Greek food. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Our final stop was the National Archaeological Museum which houses many pieces from all over Greece. Out of energy, Manos returned us to the cruise ship. Manos was an amazing guide/driver with a wonderful sense of humor!

We had a wonderful time with our guide Stefanos. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We got to see everything in Athens that we needed to see.

What an amazing day! This would be 20 stars if the site would let me! First if all it starts with having the right guide, and Theodore was absolutely amazing! Before we even got to our first stop, we had a great history lesson on the city of Athens, and the sites we were visiting. Theodore was very personable and made the day fly by. Great location for our lunch at a local spot out of the tourist area, and some great shopping spots at the end of the day. Absolutely the best guide we could have hoped for. Book this excursion on your next trip and request Theodore, you won't be disappointed!

Theodore was the BEST guide! We were traveling all day with 3 toddlers and he made the travel day SO much fun! The tour was very personalized and he even allowed us to stop at a wonderful garden, playground and see some animals! He helped unload our stroller and helped with the kids. Our driver was Nikos and he was wonderful. He provided great information about each site and what to look for prior to dropping us at each to explore on our own. Given the skill it takes to navigate Athens, this seems a perfect way to explore and get around quickly. We were able to adjust the itinerary to sights we were interested in. Nikos was very accommodating and we would highly recommend the private tour option.

Stephanos exceeded our expectations of what a tour guide would be like! He was extremely knowledgeable and super accommodating! We learned so much from him in our Athens full day private tour! We were all so appreciative of how friendly he was and how he went above and beyond to share his knowledge of Greece with us. Our tour guide, John, was the perfect experience we needed to get to know Athens. He gave us enough information so we learn about Athens and definitely did not bombard us with too much history. It was a perfect balance of information and a little fun fact to keep us intrigued. He also moved at our pace, which was very helpful for a couple of slow walkers. He drove us to all the locations and when he can, he would get out of the car and take our pictures. He was on time and arrived as soon as we texted him that we were done. It is a good way to visit Athens at your leisure. I recommend this tour.
