Unforgettable Luxor & VOK: Hurghada Ancient Wonders Quest

Nana was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgeable, but also kept things light with historical anecdotes and comical facts. The time was managed well between learning about the sites, but also taking photos and exploring on your own. Unfortunately because the trip is from Hurghada to Luxor, a big portion of the day is on the bus coming/returning, so there is limited time to learn the history, so really think of this an appetizer if you want to learn more or a good overview if you have only a passing interest. We would recommend to friends and family.

What an experience. Such a great trip. Our guide Nana was great, she was full of knowledge, humour and love! She gave us all the best tips not to get caught out by the hustlers and also told us the best stories about ancient Egypt, we learnt and saw so much!

I was skeptical about this quick excursion, but I don't regret it at all! It was a great experience, and well worth the effort.

Hi from Turkey! Corrected Version: We joined a daily Luxor tour with my husband. The tour was perfect for us! Everyone was so kind, friendly, and helpful. The car was very comfortable and safe. Our tour guide, Nana, was amazing — very knowledgeable, helpful, and lovely. She knows everything about Egypt and its history. I learned so many things from her! Normally, I don’t pay much attention to history, but she was so engaging that I listened to her all day. She took great care of us — thank you so much! It was a perfect day in Luxor with you. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

It was a very well organized trip with a very helpful staff. I especially thank our guide Nana for her warm hospitality and tips throughout the day.

We took this trip with our two sons who are 13 and 11. I’m not going to beat around the bush, the early start, the long drive, the speed of the tours and the sweltering heat made for a totally brutal day. But, at the end of the week, the trip to Luxor was the highlight of the holiday for all four of us. Nana our guide was brilliant. Her immense knowledge is delivered with humour, she debunks many myths and makes sure that you don’t spend money when you don’t need to. The cruise along the Nile was a great experience and I’m pleased we paid the additional to do it. The lunch was great and there was plenty of choice, including plain pasta which was all my 11 year old wanted. I would say this trip is not for the faint hearted. You pack in a lot in a day, and while Nana ensures everyone is looked after and sees as much as they can, the heat, the speed you have to get around would be incredibly difficult if you have decreased mobility. I wish that I had asked our hotel to pack breakfast / snack bags for us. There are breaks in the drive and the first stop around 6am does have coffee and packaged snacks, there are no “fresh” breakfast items though. We had taken a few bits of fruit and bought some biscuits, which sustained us, but we were ravenous by the time we got to lunch. Water is provided and is plentiful, so you don’t need to worry about that. I took a UV umbrella with me, and I was so pleased I did. That was the thing that really helped us survive in the heat. It was great for our sons to have this introduction to experience history and culture, I don’t think they would have coped with the trip had they been any younger. All in all, it’s a very long day but very worth it.

Nana, the guide, was wonderful with us. She showed us everything, told us everything that was to know and guided us the whole day. Gave us water, lunch and chips too. I would absolutely choose her as my guide next time too. F39/M39 Transfer from 14 km north of center of Hurghada, 4 hour bus trip to Luxor, 8 hours of Luxor, 4 hours back.

It was a whirlwind trip showing the highlights of Luxor - Karnak, Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple. Our guide, Nana, was extremely knowledgable and made it all interesting. A very busy day, but fascinating!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Luxor through FTS . Right from start of the tour , our drivers who were very polite and clearly explained the agenda for the day and explaining about the stops etc. Then we were introduced to our fabulous guide Naina who explained us in detail about the history of different places and also gave us some very useful tips with regards to dealing with local shops etc. Her humorous telling of Egyptian history made the trip even more memorable. Naina made sure everyone was fine snd doing well through a very hot day with ice creams , cold water , crisps in between. She was extremely passionate about her job which made us feel so welcome here in Luxor. Thanks again FTS travel .

We booked to go with FTS travels on Monday 13th but as I managed to catch a cold virus on the plane and was unwell , I contacted FTS and rearranged for the following Saturday. The trip was very good with Nana as our guide. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and made the information interesting and fun. There was unlimited drinking water and some snacks as well. The tomb of Rameses 111 was spectacular and Tutankhamun’s tomb was the highlight for us. It was a very long hot day but so pleased we did it and I would definitely recommend the tour and FTS Travels.
