The Khmer Rouge turned Toul Sleng High School into a center for interrogation, torture and death. Thousands of photo of victims can be seen in each room. You will walk slowly and investigate the materials used for interrogation of prisoners. After that we travel about 15km toward southwest of Phnom Penh we will arrive at Choeung Ek. The memorial at Choeung Ek just outside Phnom Penh was an orchard! And a Chinese cemetery prior to 1975. During the Khmer Rouge regime, it became one of the killing fields the site of the brutal executions of more than 17,000 individuals, most of whom first suffered through torture and deprivation in Toul Sleng Prison. Choeung Ek is now a group of mass graves and a memorial stupa containing thousands of skulls. Come back to hotel and drop off.

We were so lucky to have Ms. Thavy, a teacher, as our guide through a morning of "tough subjects" at Tuol Sleng and Cheung Ek. Her factual knowledge is enhanced by her willingness to share her family's personal experiences during the war, and this made our tour very special. She was an excellent help in trying to wrap our heads around the horrors of that time. Highly recommend a tour with her!

Nin was a super guide. Very knowledgeable and many personal anecdotes. A very humbling and worthwhile experience. So much poignant and sad reflection on the fragility of life in this region. This is a must do tour.

We had a wonderful trip with Ms. Sreyneang to understand the history of Cambodia. She spoke excellent English and had very good knowledge and was able to explain the complexity of what lay behind the genocide. A sobering trip but a necessary one to understand Cambodia’s history to where they are now. Much respect to these beautiful people who have been through so much. Would highly recommend.

This was a very moving experience, with a friendly tour guide who shared her personal story as a young girl during this era.

Very emotional and moving tour. Ms. Chheang Sreyneang was very knowledgeable and was very thorough but understood the balance between too much information and observation

If you plan a visit to S21 and the Killing Fields - and want to know and understand everything about it don't hesitate and ask for Silong. This man can explain in clear understandable English everything about this period - and beyond! My daughter and I were very happy with you as a guide, thank you Silong! Well-organized private tour. Our guide Mrs. Thavy was very knowledgeable and willing to explain all the tragic events. Highly recommend for all who visit Cambodia. It is a necessary part to understanding their history and culture.
