Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan: Unforgettable Scottish Highlands Tour
No address available
We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside (optional, pay locally). After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

We had an excellent experience with Tony and Toko. We felt like highlanders for a while. Magical landscapes on a pleasant tour.

Very nice tour with knowledgeable tour guide stopping at very interesting places. I liked very much the geology information about the area. Just the lunch stop could be a bit longer I enjoyed the tour and I would recommend it

Lovely day trip to isle of Skye and the castle, special mention of our tour guide cum driver Emily for making it a memorable experience and really appreciate her knowledge on Scottish history, cheers!

Emily was charming and full of fun. Tidbits of history, ecology, language and personal memoir woven into a running commentary that took us across the Isle of Skye and home again.

this tour was very excellent!!! such a good day trip to isle of skye and northern scotland! you really do see everything there is to see and i would highly rec it to anyone looking to tour skye. the stops were perfect! the only thing was that it says it stops at old man storr, we briefly passed it from the ground, we didn’t stop at it at all, couldn’t get a picture even from the bus. wish we went up to it for some pictures/views.

This was a wonderful tour. We had Donnie- who had the perfect personality for this type of tour. He was very pleasant and funny for the entire 12 hours. Additionally, there were some tricky roads, and he handled them wonderfully. We loved the beautiful Scottish landscape and the history behind this wonderful country. One suggestion I would have- when driving through the Highlands in the beginning, take a stop for photos. The light bouncing off the mountains at sunrise are magnificent!

We did this trip yesterday with Sonia. What an excellent guide and driver!! Sonia kept us all entertained throughout the whole trip. Her knowledge of the myths, legends and history was astonishing and what a sense of humour!! If you only have time for one trip, we would highly recommend this one!! Hats off to you Sonia, best trip EVER - THANK YOU X

We stopped at some cool places but I wish we could have stopped at more places on Skye. I think the lunch break was too long and would have given us more time for another stop. Craig was great, full of knowledge about Scotland and stories about fairies.

Craig was great! Very informative and great sense of humor! Comfortable ride and got to see many sights. Highly recommend!
