Cesarine: Pasta & Tiramisu Class at a Local's Home in Bologna

We had a wonderful cooking class with Roberta! She is a natural teacher and very patient; all five of us learned new techniques. After preparing delicious pasta and tiramisu, we ate dinner in the dining room of Roberta’s beautiful apartment. We highly recommend this experience, and will do it again when we return to Bologna

This cooking class was one of the best experiences we have had in Italy. Our hosts were magnificent. They picked us up and carried us to their home and the fun began. We made the pasta and the tiramisu, and then enjoyed eating our own pasta prepared with our own hands. I wish I could tell everyone how much fun we had, but I cannot come up with the words. It was simply fabulous and we thank our host family for having us, it was great.

It was an amazing experience. Paola was a wonderful host and was great at teaching us how to make the pasta and also shared the recipes. In addition, the tiramisu was really delicious. I would definitely recommend taking a class with Paola.

My husband and I booked our class with Rosa very last minute after two others with different companies canceled. We were so happy we ended up learning from Rosa. She was kind, so much fun, and taught in a way that made it so we could actually use the skills we learned. We made tagliatelle with ragu, meatballs, and tiramisu, and will absolutely make it all again. I could not recommend this course more. Some of the best money and food we ate in Bologna!

Our experience with Il Cesarino Maurizio was second to none. We can not rate Maurizio's hospitality, knowledge and authenticity high enough. As a very amateur cook I learnt so much through our day in the kitchen, tips and tricks I will remember for a lifetime. Maurizio is authentic and warm and was a pleasure to spend the day with. Lunch on a sunny terrace joined by Marco and Dante of course, an exceptional day we will never forget.

My wife and I had an amazing experience. Annamaria and Francesco are the best hosts. We had a lot of fun, and even more so we had a perfect time together. From the warm reception to the dinner time, everything was super nice. We absolutely recommend this experience with Annamaria. They are 10 stars, not five! :)

We had an exceptional experience with Roberta! She welcomed us into her lovely home and prepared a delicious apertif. She taught us fabulous recipes which she shared with us after and taught us about her cuisine which is a blend of food from Florence and Bologna. She was a splendid host and made us both feel very welcome. She also shared several other goodies to teach us more about the local cuisine! I would recommend cooking with Roberta to everyone!!

Roberta was a very welcoming host. Her home was beautiful and she made us feel comfortable as soon as we entered. The food was delicious and we learnt so much from her. This experience was very good value for money as included all food and drinks for the evening and our host shared her homemade specialties and favourite local foods. They tailor your experience to your likes/dislikes including vegetarian and the instructions for how to get to the location were very clear. We have made memories to last a lifetime and we can’t wait to try out the recipes for our guests at home. Would definitely recommend this experience to others. Grazie mille Roberta!

My husband and I had a wonderful time meeting Alessandra and learning how to make pasta and tiramisu with her. She was delightful, taught us a lot about making pasta, and shared many insightful insights about Italian food overall. We highly recommend this experience if you are like us and really enjoy getting to know local people when you travel plus learning something new!
