We did this tour, Im fairly sure his name was Adman but can't be 100%, but he relived his personal experience from being 19yrs old to becoming a soldier and gave good insight, very professional and very informative, thank you.

This was my first tour with Dream Balkans Travel. From the moment I set my foot into their side street office in the Old Town of Sarajevo until I did my last tour with them all I experienced was nothing but joy. If you want to find out about the resilience and fighting spirit of the people of Sarajevo against all odds with the best guide Adnan then this is the tour for you.

Probably the best history lesson of our lives. Thanks Adis. A very personal explanation of how normal life became a war and then how the ingenuity and determination of the people succeeded in defending the city until the Dayton Agreement was signed. The stops along the minibus tour included all of the major war sites but they were really enhanced by a veteran explaining the small details associated with them. We’re old enough to remember watching the war on TV news, and Adis pointed out the hotel where the TV reporters stayed. Highly recommended.

Great overview of war in Bosnia from Sarajevo perspective. Our guide was so passionate and knowledgeable given first hand experience of living through the 90’s. Really enjoyed and learned a lot!

This tour was worth every penny. One of the best tours I’ve taken in over 30 countries visited. I learned so much about the war. The stories the guide told were very impactful. We are the same age so it really made me think of how different my teenage life was and how I had no idea what was happening half way around the world. It was an incredibly education experience and my 14 year old has also said it’s one of the best tours he has been on. We started the documentary the guide recommended last night and it’s led to a lot of discussion. I would recommend this tour to families.

Adis was in high school when he became part of the Bosnian forces defending Sarajevo. His stories were compelling and made this tour very memorable. The tour was well organized and the 8 seater van was a nice group size. The visits to the tunnel and army positions at the bobsled track were great. Enroute we were shown battle locations of the two armies and heard about Bosnia’s history. A really good tour.

We really enjoyed this tour! Mustafa was a fantastic guide, he answered all of our questions and shared many personal experiences of his time growing up in Sarajevo. I would definitely recommend this tour for people wishing to learn more about what it was like to be in Sarajevo during the war.

I had an amazing experience on this Sarajevo war tour. It was both emotional and educational, giving me a deep understanding of the city’s history. We visited the Tunnel of Hope, war cemeteries, and the haunting remains of the Olympic bobsleigh track — each stop carried powerful stories of resilience and survival. The guide (Samiera) was very knowledgeable and explained everything with great passion and clarity. We ended the tour with a traditional Bosnian coffee at the Yellow Fortress, enjoying stunning views over the city. This tour is a must for anyone who wants to truly connect with Sarajevo’s past and present.

This was the second tour I attended with Dream Balkans Travel. It was a half-day tour, but its impact was far greater than I expected. Mustafa was our guide, and he is a true witness of the war. Listening to his firsthand experiences from someone who actually lived through those days was priceless. Although I have read a lot about the war, hearing the real story in his voice was something completely different. I also asked many other questions, and his deep knowledge of both history and contemporary life made this tour an unforgettable experience. He is the kind of person you could talk to for hours. It would be unfair to consider this tour solely as a war tour. During our hike in the Trebević Mountains, Mustafa shared fascinating insights about the 1984 Winter Olympics, which also helped me gain a better understanding of Yugoslavia. At every stop, you get to learn not only about the historical significance of the sites but also their relevance and role in contemporary life. I truly believe guides like Mustafa deserve special recognition, as his dedication and courage turned this tour into an unforgettable life experience.
