Epic Mutianyu Great Wall: Morning Adventure from Beijing

Our tour guide John was a total gem: hilarious, super knowledgeable, and a walking storyteller who kept us entertained nonstop. He shared some fascinating Great Wall history, making the journey both fun and informative. He also handled cable car and slide tickets for us, saving us from tedious queues. Autumn at Mutianyu Great Wall is so mind-blowing—like stepping into a living postcard! Under the bright blue sky with floating white clouds, golden foliage blankets the hills and wraps around the winding, majestic Great Wall, creating a breathtakingly stunning scene where every angle is a photo op. The lunch was hearty and flavorful, with a variety of dishes to suit different tastes, plus sweet cakes , fresh fruits, and different teas —such a thoughtful touch! The waiting area was spotlessly clean with comfy seating, letting us rest and recharge easily. This trip was pure joy from start to finish, and I’d give it 10/10 without hesitation!

What a perfect trip to Mutianyu Great Wall! We were really lucky with the weather! Our guide John told us that today was the most beautiful day in weeks! The fresh, sunny weather with a soft breeze made the Great Wall even more impressive. Golden leaves sparkled against its old gray stone walls, and standing on the walls, I felt small next to all that history and natural beauty. John was smart and his talks were easy to follow too. He told vivid stories about how the Great Wall started and what it was used for in China’s past, plus interesting things about Beijing’s culture that made the tour feel more meaningful. He handled cable car and slide tickets smoothly, so we didn’t have to stress and could just enjoy the moment. Lunch was a nice spread—plenty of food, all tasty, made with fresh local ingredients. Today’s trip to the Great Wall was really a very memorable experience, and I will recommend it to anyone who loves the Great Wall!

John was very helpful. But if you plan to do west and east side the time is very short. The point 20 is very beautiful but hard to climb.

He knew all the secret spots – the best watchtowers for taking nice pictures. The Mubus organization was seamless, giving us plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. We had such an amazing time on our Great Wall tour with Mr. Mike and Mubus! Everything was super smooth and well-organized the tour started on time, and the whole day went perfectly. Mr. Mike was an awesome guide! He shared so many cool stories about the Great Wall’s history and made the trip really fun and educational. We loved that we got to explore both the East and West sides — each one had its own vibe and stunning views. The Mubus team was great too super friendly and helpful all throughout. Great tour! Started the day at 10am and back to Beijing at 7pm. Definitely worth it day trip to see the Great wall. Very kind and knowledgeable guides!

It was a great trip! Jessica was an amazing guide — friendly, fun, and very informative. We explored both sides of the Wall, and the views were incredible! The buffet lunch at MuBus Restaurant was delicious. The only downside was the weather, but overall it was a fantastic experience!
