This is a good tour if you just want the highlights of the Vatican and someone to answer questions. It was very crowded the day we went so it was a challenge to follow and hear, but that was not the fault of our tour guide or Viator. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We asked a lot of questions and he did a good job answering them! :) You have to pay attention to keep up, so if you are more of a lingering type you might want to just do your own research. St. Peter’s basilica is overwhelming, so you will likely get distracted by the beauty and then miss what was being said or at least I did Lol! We did have time at the end to just walk around as long as we wanted by ourselves so that was great. Overall a very good experience for a quick and smooth entrance into the basilica and a nice overview with a knowledgeable guide! I definitely recommend. :)

Given the amount of time available for the tour, I was very pleased with what we saw. And we were extremely pleased with our guide, who did an excellent job.

This was a great tour. Even though you have to keep moving through the Vatican Museums, our guide Valerio managed to point out so many interesting things and he was extremely knowledgeable. He gave us a big talk before entering the Sistine Chapel so that we knew where to look for important pieces and what different depictions meant. Would highly recommend this tour and especially Valerio.

Top quality tour and would recommend it to anyone. The guide Amy was brilliant and made the tour factual but entertaining as well.. well worth the money.

Ali out tour guide was so helpful in understanding what we were seeing. She went out of her way to show us things to make up for it being Wednesday and not getting a guided tour of the basilica. However, if I had known that, I would have booked my tour on Thursday. I physically could not wait in that long line to see it on my own.

Great tour experience. Always choose either private or semi-private tours!! Our guide did an amazing job not only speaking to the history found inside the Vatican but throughout the entire tour.

I booked this tour for my husband and parents. We had a fantastic tour with Fabio who was so knowledgeable and patient, ensuring we had the opportunity to see the highlights and take pictures too! One of the best tours we have done, grazie Fabio!

I was not informed that there is a papal address every Wednesday and the Basilica does not open til 2.00 pm. Also the guide is only for the Sistine chapel, not St Peter’s. the Sistine chapel tour was excellent though

- St Peter’s Basilica & Sistine Chapel are subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
- On Wednesday mornings, access to St. Peter’s Basilica is not included due to the Papal Audience. Entry is only possible after 1:00 PM.
