Unforgettable Panama: Ocean-to-Ocean Canal & Jungle Journey

Fantastic tour and the highlight of our time in Panama. Our guide John taught us so much! We really appreciated his knowledge and humour. Definitely take time to do this tour, you will not be disappointed!!

This trip is a must do. The boat ride and all the wildlife was incredible. We enjoyed the tour of the ships going through the canal. John, our guide was great.

John was an awesome guide and super knowledgeable! Extremely informative! And super cute :) It’s a long day so be prepared. You get to see everything…Panama canals, monkey island, San Lorenzo castle, and San Lorenzo park. He has an eye for spotting animals so we were lucky enough to see a sloth, multiple types of monkeys, iguanas, birds, and bats! Personally, I would have been okay with just the canal ride to monkey island and the Panama canals for a shorter day so really just depends on how much you want to see and how long you want to be out.

I really enjoyed all of the different aspects of the tour. Our tour guide was so well informed about the history of Panama. The lunch was delicious as well and seeing all the animals was a great bonus!

The Tourguide John is the best man! He knows so much and is very motivated. We saw monkeys, sloths, capybaras, Coatis and the Canal.

The tour was a wonderful experience. We were able to see a lot in the eight hours from the lake to the ships to the canal to animals living on the little islands on the lake was a wonderful experience and the whole family enjoyed tremendously. I recommend this trip for anyone that would like the full experience. The tour guide and driver were very professional and knowledgeable about Panama.

Being the first time in Panama, I wanted a tour to give a broad view of the area. This tour accomplished that as the tour guide was very informative of what we were seeing and how to spend our remaining time. Tour included a boat tour to see some areas with wildlife, which was nice.

Our tour guide, John Acosta, took us on an adventure along the Panama Canal. Hitting three bridges that cross the canal and the amazing boat ride to see ships and wildlife on the Chagres River, we learned about the history of the canal and about the engineering of the new water locks. As an all day trip, our family enjoyed the travel, the history, the experience of watching freight ships travel from the Pacific to the Atlantic, and the local food. Also, we spoke and understood basic Spanish. John was patient and very helpful. 10/10

Really well organised and informative day trip we especially enjoyed the lake boat trip and everything was timed perfectly so that we could watch a ship go through one of the new locks. Lunch was great and came from a traditional Panamanian restaurant a vegetarian option was available. We learn lots about history of Panama John was full of interesting facts and information which he was able to illustrate using an iPad a great day.

This was a excellent tour. It was exceptionally well organised and ran like clockwork, with a very engaging tour lead. We saw plenty of wildlife and our guide was knowledgeable in helping us identify species. The canal and locks were so fascinating, we got to stay at the Agua Clara lock for ages and watch a ship go right through. We loved it.
