Breathtaking Monte Albán: Half-Day Zapotec Empire Revealed

This was a well organised, fun tour that provided a wealth of information. I would highly recommend to everyone!

Very sunny so a hat and sunscreen are a must. Be prepared for stone stairs and uneven ground. There is a small museum, washrooms, a place to buy water and snacks and a restaurant on site. The tour was well organized, transport was excellent and the guide was great, very fluent. He collected money (or tickets people had purchased online) to purchase a group entrance ticket while folks had a chance to use the toilets. All very efficient.

We actually changed from a half a day to a full day tour, and it was worth it. Good slow pace to visit sites.

A lot packed into a half day trip lots of climbing. The guide was excellent told us about many of the civilization that I never had heard of there's a museum on the site as well

Whilst monte alban is a really impressive site (the views are brilliant and the pyramids beautiful) - the tour guide left a lot to be desired. He was unenthusiastic and rushed and didn’t translate the majority of his description into English which was a shame. We got most of the information from the boards in the museum and site!
