We really enjoyed this tour with our guide Cyril! Not only were all the sites we visited stunning Cyril was very knowledgeable about the history and culture that he made the trip very much enjoyable. The start of the trip in Annot was paced nicely (slower) and we had a very delicious lunch with so much food! We were provided a variety of selections to meet any palate. The second half of the tour in Entrevaux was just as beautiful as I thoroughly enjoyed the hike up to the citadel. You do in fact need a decent level of mobility and fitness to make the trip up, but this part is only the last hour of the trip and those who do not want to participate in the hike can stay behind and continue their exploration of the beautiful village shops or have a coffee or beer in one of the few bistros. We were a group of 6 plus Cyril and it was a very manageable size group. I felt the value to cost was high given it was an all day excursion with everything included. I would highly recommend tourists visiting Nice take a day to explore this beautiful and historic region and this tour makes it very easy to do so.

We had a train trip up in the mountains and got of at Annot. Our guide Cyril was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We had a nice little hike, visited the local market and sample all different items and the lunch was delicious. I was with a good of 8 and we all enjoyed it. Highly recommended especial with our guide Cyril.

This was an absolutely lovely trip! Cyril our host was very welcoming and beyond accommodating. Also such a friendly person. We learned a lot about the history of nice and saw some breathtaking views. The climb up to the citadel was definitely worth it though it is a hard hike! We also got to stop at a local market and taste so many local items!

Cyril was absolutely amazing, the best tour guide we have ever had! Not to mention that the tour itself was incredibly special as well. The villages and towns we saw we would have never been able to find on our own and Cyril was full of knowledge that really made the history come to life. We loved that the tour did not feel rushed, and we had the freedom to choose what we wanted to do. Thank you Cyril for an unforgettable day!

We had a fabulous day with Cyril. Had we gone on our own we would’ve not known what we were seeing. Cyril was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely happy to show us these charming villages. The narration was as interesting as the scenery. While the tour was active, I wouldn’t call it strenuous. We climbed to the top of Annot for the view, but opted to skip the walk up to the top of Entrevaux and enjoy more time in the village, stopping for a beverage at the courtyard. Our friend traveling with us went to the top and enjoyed the view. If you enjoy trains, scenery, historic charm, and like walking, this is the tour for you!

Cyril is a fantastic guide! He is from Nice himself and brings all the love for the region and great vibes to the tour. The trip offers picturesque views all the day, a great lunch with French vine, quality cheeses, and local dishes. I highly recommend it as a balance to a trip to Monaco :)
