Bali Photo Magic: Gate of Heaven, Water Palace & Hidden Gajah

The Gate of Heaven and the Water Palace are must see in Bali. The Gate of Heaven in particular (if arrived at very early) provided a stunning photo opportunity. Yogakamareka ensured we arrived at the Gate very early and that we were at the top of the queue for photos. The Sleeping Gajah restaurant provided delicious local food and a beautiful setting to relax in. Although it is an early start, it is a very chilled day and we would highly recommend this tour.

We had an incredible day exploring Bali with our amazing guide, Yande. He was so kind, knowledgeable, and made everything effortless and fun. We took the most iconic Bali photo, visited a stunning water temple, admired beautiful colors of nature, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at a luxurious resort. Every moment was perfectly planned — a truly unforgettable experience thanks to Yande!

We did the Gates of Heaven excursion with Eka yesterday, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Eka picked us up from our hotel at 4:00 a.m., even though he had to wake up at 2:00 a.m. to get to us on time — talk about dedication! We arrived at the Gates of Heaven a little after 6:00 a.m. and had to wait over two hours for our turn to take photos, but it was totally worth it. Eka was not only an experienced driver and knowledgeable guide, but also an incredible photographer. If you want amazing Instagram-worthy photos or videos, just hand him your phone or camera — he knows all the best angles and tricks! After the Gates of Heaven, we visited the Water Palace, where Eka made sure we had food to feed the koi fish so we could get some fun and unique pictures. We then enjoyed a delicious Balinese lunch by an infinity pool at a beautiful resort — all included in the excursion. The meal was a sampler of traditional Balinese dishes, and everything was fresh and flavorful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that we’ll never forget. Eka went above and beyond to make the day special. Highly recommend booking your tour with him if you want a seamless, memorable, and photo-perfect day in Bali! 🌸📸

We had an absolutely fantastic time. We got to see the mountains and the temples ans the whole experience is exactly why we came to Bali. Our guide Dewa Gantaz was first class. He made sure we were taken care of the entire time. He was the best. If you get Dewa as your guide you are in for a good time!

We had the most amazing day visiting the Gates of Heaven with our guide, DEDE! From the moment we were picked up, everything was seamless — comfortable car, great communication, and lots of smiles along the way. DEDE shared interesting stories about Balinese culture, religion, and local life, which made the long drive feel short and enjoyable. Once we arrived, he knew exactly where to go, helped us skip the confusion at the temple, and took the most beautiful photos for us (even helping us find the perfect poses and angles!). We really appreciated DEDE’s patience, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm. You can tell he loves showing guests the real Bali. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip — we highly recommend booking with DEDE if you want an stress-free, fun, and truly memorable experience!

Every stop on our tour was perfectly planned — from the stunning Gate of Heaven temples and rice terraces to hidden waterfalls and authentic local restaurants we would never have found on our own. DEDE also went above and beyond to tailor the experience to our interests, making sure we got the most out of every moment. The car was clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, and DEDE was a careful, safe driver (Bali’s traffic rules are non-existent lol). We especially appreciated the little touches — offering cold water, taking amazing photos for us, and teaching us a few words in Bahasa Indonesia! If you’re visiting Bali and want more than just a typical tourist experience, I can’t recommend DEDE enough. You’ll leave with wonderful memories and a new friend in Bali!

Best day in Bali so far, we saw a lot in one day! The first visit was breathtaking, the second attraction was super pretty, and lunch at the resort was absolutely delicious! The photos came out great :D The vehicle was comfortable and Agung was able to explain everything about the history behind the sites. I never felt rushed exploring, Agung’s English is impeccable and he’s funny so it made the long car journeys go quick :D

We had an amazing time. Dewa was an amazing driver and guide. He made sure we had everything we needed at every stop. If you get Dewa you are in for a good time.

We had a great day with Yogi. He was very helpful in giving the history of the temple. The first stop, where we were supposed to see the sunrise at the temple. We actually didnt see the sunrise. We were held outside of the temple grounds until the sun came up. That may be due to the locals being there and their ceremony, but we didn't see the sunrise in the temple. Once there, we had some spectacular views of the highest volcano in Bali. He took great pics of us every where we went. Since we had a very early pickup he showed us how to recline the back seats so we could catch a nap before the two hour drive to the temple. He have us the history of Water Palace, where we fed the large numbers of Koi in the ponds. Our last stop was a serene resort where we were able have lunch and swin their pool. Overall, it was a great experience with a great driver and tour guide Yogi.
