Overall decent experience. Very beautiful views. But make sure you carve out an entire day for this excursion. 1.5-2 hours one way there and back just from your hotel, and 3-4 hours for the actual excursion. Vehicles were a little sketchy as in bad brakes and the alignment of the steering wheel was off. Also, there was no volcano, if there was, you wouldn’t know because the guides didn’t really talk. Waterfall was really pretty though.

Overall a decent experience with Bandits ATV/Waterfall excursions. There are some things to make note of though if considering doing this excursion. We did this as a group of 7 people and also we have previous experience of doing these type of excursions in other countries, it is actually our thing to do. One-we were told the day before that we would only have 2 Side by Sides for our group of 7 people. I wanted 4 side by side for our group, but was told would only have 2. Now, we did have an opportunity to change drivers a couple different times throughout the trek. But for how much it cost, per person, more side by side should be offered for larger groups. Two- one of our side by side had mechanical problems. We pulled off at this spot that had a little store there and we bought snacks while the staff hoisted the Side by side and worked on it to fix it. This particular side by side already did not brake well, did not accelerate well going up, and then had issues with the axel in the middle of the trek. We did communicate to them about the braking and acceleration issues, so hoping that particular side by side received a full service after because we were definitely uncomfortable driving and riding in it at times. Three- the whole excursion is like 4-5hrs long and food was not provided. Typically, I’ve been a part of these excursions for this long of a duration when lunch and/ or hot hand held food was provided at some point. Would recommend bringing your own snacks or cash for the little store that was up there. Bottle water was provided. Four- the traffic on the way back into the city (Panamá) was very time consuming. We stayed downtown Panamá so our 1.5hr drive turned into a 3 hour trip from the Bandits excursion back to the hotel. Locals say that is typical going back into the city on a Friday afternoon. We had to change our evening reservation for a later time because we got back much later than anticipated. Transportation to and from your hotel is provided/included in the excursion. Five- The price point is little high. This was the most expensive Side by Side/ATV excursion I’ve done with less offered. I would say, this would have to be truly an excursion/activity you enjoy if wanting to pay that much. Also, something else to note, there is about a quarter of a mile hike through some terrain once you park the side by side to get to the waterfall. It poured down raining during our hike and waterfall visit, so just something to consider. Overall the staff did indeed keep us safe, provided a decent service and were friendly and helpful. Bilingual staff was available too. The communication prior to our excursion reservation was good and helpful. I received emails and WhatsApp notifications. Overall not bad, just too expensive (per person) for what is provided.

Overall a really great tour! The views are beautiful, the waterfall was amazing to see, and we had a lot of fun. Our guide didn’t speak great English, which was fine as one of my friends spoke Spanish, but he was very pleasant and made sure we were happy and knew what we were doing. The cool water was really good on a v v hot day! The ATVs are old and aren’t super super easy to drive, but after a bit of practice it was great fun. One of my friends was is a bit of an anxious driver and so didn’t enjoy driving the ATV, but the rest of us got used to the vehicle quickly and enjoyed driving. I would really recommend to someone wanting an exciting excursion - we all had a great day. The views at each stopping point, and throughout the drive, were incredible! The only thing I would flag is that this tour is 4 hours, from the point you get to their store. We chose the option to be picked up in Panama City, which was almost 2 hours driving each way - so this added a long time onto the day! We were gone for more than 8 hours However, our driver was great - on time, efficient and friendly, and the added cost for hotel pick up was very reasonable given how far away we were!

I booked separate ATVs for each of us, but they ended up putting the 5 of us in 2 4-seat buggies so we had to take turns driving. There was no volcano. The buggies were kind of run down. The reverse didn't work in mine and the wheel sometimes locked up on the turns. The other Buggie broke down several times.

My wife and I booked this ATV tour with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short due to several equipment and communication issues. Positives: Our guide was friendly and tried to keep the group engaged. Negatives: The ATV we were assigned was not in good working condition. The steering was extremely stiff and pulled to the right, making it difficult and tiring to control. Every time I let off the throttle, the vehicle would jerk violently, which made the ride uncomfortable and, at times, unsafe. Our ATV also experienced mechanical problems—at one point, it broke down completely and later had a reduction in power while climbing a hill. In addition, some of the other vehicles in the group had worn-down, smooth tires, which is a serious safety concern. Although the tour was advertised as bilingual (English and Spanish), the guide riding with us did not speak any English, making communication very difficult for us. Another major issue was the amount of dust kicked up by the vehicles ahead. I wasn’t informed beforehand that a face covering would be necessary. I’ve done ATV tours before, but those provided full helmets, so dust inhalation was never a problem. This time, without any protection, it made the experience quite unpleasant. Overall: While the guide was friendly, the poor condition of the vehicles, lack of proper communication, and absence of important safety information like the need for a face covering made this tour disappointing. With better-maintained equipment and clearer pre-tour instructions, this could have been a much better experience.

These are older side by side ATV and they will break down. They aren’t perfect but with the help of the guide team they will get you there. Diego was the hero for this company. His expertise and professionalism kept the ATV’s working. At the end on the way back to the office he showed his skills and it made up for all the mishaps. Out of all 10 of the guys in my group everyone had cancelled all complaints. I do suggest that you guys tighten up The steering, buy new tires and fix overheating problems immediately. Thanks Diego for making our Mancation guys trip a success!

The views were magnificent and the exhilaration of driving the end ATVs was phenomenal. Equipment malfunctions, and comes and breakdowns very disappointing. The four hour excursion ended up being close to eight hours, which caused us to miss a second booking in the afternoon. In the fact that our guy did not speak any English whatsoever was again disappointing.

This was an incredible tour and I would encourage anyone to take advantage of it. Though our tour guide, David, spoke very little English, he still managed to show us such a good time. This tour was worth every penny and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

We had a good time, but there were definitely improvements that could have been made. This tour was supposed to be for 4 hours. We were picked up around 815am and we didn't get back until 830pm. We are staying in Panama City, so it was a 1.5 hour drive. The location for check in was a good ways from the destination.. it was too long for an atv ride. I have been on many atv excursions and never had such a far ride to a destination. We were then taken to a restaurant for lunch that we paid for, which was fine, but I think if it's an all day thing- lunch should be included. During the tour, our guide's atv broke down and he ended up riding with me. My husband's breaks went out on his atv at one point and they had to fix them. My atv went into "limp mode" when I was crossing a busy highway and would only go up to 6mph. I think they need to overhaul all of their equipment. The guides were nice enough, but not very communicative.

This was a great experience. For my husband and I we will be back! I didn’t expect the tour to be so long, and was pleasantly surprised when it did. We went through all types of conditions. We drove on the main road through the towns which was nice, then the breathtaking volcanos driving through dams, clouds, rain, sunshine, dust and mud. It would have been helpful if we were able to speak Spanish as none of the guides could speak English, but they were still nice and helpful. We also went to the waterfall.
