Ephesus VIP: Your Private Ancient World Odyssey & Discovery

I booked this private tour not realizing it would be just 2 of us plus our guide. She was very informative during our tour and knowledgeable. I loved that my husband was able to hear everything she had to say about what we were seeing. Our driver was always on standby and we never waited long for him between destinations. The Turkish lunch was delicious. Only downfall was the rug store behind the restaurant staff very aggressive to sell you a carpet when we showed interest in them.

This tour was phenomenal ! We had Ceren as our guide who was easily to find when we got off our ship ! She took us to a spacious van and sat with us and explained the history and culture of Turkey as our driver drove us to all the destinations! This was so personalized and so much fun ! Ceren made us laugh and was soo informative!! We had an amazing Turkish lunch ! I strongly recommend booking this tour ! And request Ceren if possible ! Our driver was excellent too !!!

Such a great experience with Tansu - she was kind, allowed us to walk at a slower pace for my elderly mother, and avoid taking too many stairs. She gave great historical information and spoke English very well, a true local guide. Felt very safe and learned a lot.

Selda was our guide for the five hour excursion on Kusadasi. We visited the house of Virgin Mary, Ephesus ruins, St. John’s, Basilica, and Temple of Artemis and finally the carpet factory. She greeted us warmly upon our arrival right outside the port and escorted us to Mercedes-Benz van that was used for transport. We had the van exclusively for 4 of us. Selda is a great orator, fluent in English and possesses a wealth of knowledge about the culture and history of her country.. Turkey. She was with us explaining in detail each and every aspect of places we visited. She answered our queries to our satisfaction. She is smart, full of energy and enthusiasm. Her friendly demeanor makes it easy to converse with her. All in all we were blessed to have her as our guide. Highly recommend her.

We had a fabulous private tour with our guide Gülay, leaving from Kusadasi (she was waiting for us right outside our cruise ship port exit, so easy!) through amazing Ephesus, the Terrace Houses (incredible mosaics & painted walls!), a Handmade Ceramic Store, St John Basilica and the Turkish Rug Weaving Studio (new appreciation for this art form now!) - and we’re so glad we did! Gülay was so friendly, spoke great English, and was very knowledgeable & taught us lots of interesting things about the history here. It was so much more convenient being in a small private group, and having all of our admission tickets paid for - and when you add up all those ticket costs, the tour was a really great deal, since it includes a wonderful tour guide and comfortable car with private driver! It was a great day and we enjoyed everything :) thank you so much Gülay!

We had an excellent private tour of Ephesus, the Terrace Houses, and St. John’s Basilica with Gülay as our guide. She was absolutely brilliant — spoke clearly, shared fascinating historical insights, and brought every site to life. The tour was perfectly organized with a great driver and a very comfortable van. Selda was a wonderful guide. She is friendly and knowledgeable, and our driver was very professional. We were given ample time and direction to explore the ancient city of Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis. We were then treated to a splendid taste of Turkish food and culture including leatherworks, pottery, and rug making, and a delicious local lunch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our private tour to Ephesus, the Virgin Mary’s house and the Temple of Artemis. Our guide Tansu was so knowledgeable and added a lot of local colour too. We finished with a home cooked traditional Turkish lunch outside at a cooperative and even learned some Turkish words! Was overall a fabulous tour!
