Craig was a great tour guide. Kept us all well informed on our trip with a few jokes to keep us entertained. We would definitely recommend booking with Highland explorer tour. Even better if you get Craig as your tour guide. Thumbs up from us. We've had a great day. 👍

Best tour we have taken so far. Meet up was easy and simple. Bus was nice. Tour guide, Turquil was absolutely marvelous; amusing, highly entertaining, highly knowledgeable and you could tell he had a real pride and love for his country and lands. Cruise was nice. The castle was incredible. We have been to many, this was the best so far, and the time of day was perfect for pictures. The village we lunched at was very quaint and the priory there was very nice. The distillery was good, quality whiskey. The Cairn stones were majestic. Now, the Culloden Battle Fields, this is a humbling experience. Highly suggest spending the money to go through the museum first and then walking the fields. If you have any sense of imagination and love of history, you will feel the events. Highly, highly recommend this tour.

We loved the tour; we visited all the beautiful places we expected. Our guide Donnie was spectacular, explained everything very well, helped with the day's organization, and is an excellent guide. I recommend the tour.

This was a fairly comprehensive tour taking in a boat trip on Loch Ness, tour of Urquhart Castle, a stop for lunch in Beauly followed by a whisky tasting at the Singleton Distillery in Muir of Ord. We then visited Clava Cairns and finally Culloden battlefield and interpretive centre. The tour lasted over 8 hours and was well led by Torquil who drove the bus and provided commentary en route. Most of the tour involves walking outside. We were fortunate with a warm and sunny day but in inclement conditions might be less appealing. Lunch, whisky tasting and admission to the Culloden interpretive centre are not included in the cost of the tour although National Trust members can get into Culloden with their membership

Torquil was a phenomenal tour guide! His personality is bigger than life! He provided tons of information about each stop as we traveled between locations and supplemented that with a curated playlist to set the tone and mood. The stops were well timed and we had enough time to see what we wanted at each. The tour was just long enough. The stops were well-paced to allow for bathroom and snack breaks as well as stretching our legs. The amount we paid for the places we visited and the information provided, as well as not having to drive, was money well spent. Additionally, the tour company gives back to nature conservation efforts including doing a tour where the tourists volunteer on a nature project. I didn’t get all the details but I plan to! You should book this tour. You won’t regret it!
