We had a tremendous experience with Mariella. She was incredibly knowledgeable and would answer all our questions. The tour was nice and varied: there was coffee, local dishes, beer etc, very good tour and well worth the money.

We had the most enriching food and culture tour of Valletta with our wonderful guide, Ernest. From the moment we met him, it was clear how deeply he cared about sharing the soul of Malta. Thoughtful and incredibly well-prepared, he wove together centuries of history; from the Ottomans to the French and British —with stories that brought the city’s past to life. As we wandered through charming streets and hidden corners, Ernest led us to a delightful mix of restaurants and local kiosks, each offering a taste of Malta’s rich culinary heritage. Every bite told a story, and every stop felt like a secret shared just with us. For anyone who loves food, culture, and connection, this experience is a treasure. What made it truly unforgettable was Ernest himself. Warm, curious, and genuinely interested in who we were, he welcomed every question and made each of us feel seen. It wasn’t just a tour—it was a heartfelt journey, and we left feeling not just full, but deeply nourished.

The 'culture' part of the tour given to our small group by Marissa (who was very knowledgeable and friendly) was good. I learnt a lot about Malta and Valetta. However the 'typical Maltese streetfood' was rather disappointing...some quite nice, other things OK, some not good at all and the rabbit at the end was inedible. A couple of the cafes we stopped at were full of character, one being in the middle of a sloping street which was surreal! I am only giving the tour 3 stars as I feel the quality of some of the food let it down and therefore I don't think the tour was good value for money.

Marissa was very knowledgeable about Valletta’s history and culture. She’s obviously an experienced cook as well, so she gave interesting culinary tips and observations. We appreciated the historic photos she shared, showing how the sites looked in the past. The food samples were plentiful and traditional Maltese. It was a delightful experience and a great overview to this beautiful city and country!
