The tour guide and his carefully planned itinerary were excellent! His thoughtfully planned day of sightseeing and eating were a great introduction to Istanbul. We highly recommend!!

Don’t eat before the tour and expect walk up to 10k at a leisurely pace. Excellent tour and guide, Bahri, who not only explained the different foods and drinks but shared tips about eating and drinking in Istanbul. Our group was just 9, a good size to share stories and experiences between ourselves. All the food was excellent, much of it new to us, including the best way to eat baclava! The tour included a ferry across to the Asian side and a brief exploration of this area-definitely a different feel.

We love Fey, our tour guide, and all the food spots she picked. We were so full in the end. It was indeed a yummy and fun tour.

The tour was terrific! Bahri made this adventure not just about the excellent, authentic Turkish food, but also fun and engaging stories about the city and different neighborhoods. My husband had a lovely time. Thank you, Bahri!

We can’t recommend this food tour enough. We started with Selen our guide introducing us to a Turkish breakfast. There were lots of really interesting tastes we hadn’t tried before. While we were eating Selen gave us a really good overview of the issues in Turkey today and also a good outline of the layers of Istanbul’s history. Crossing from Europe to Asia over the Bosphorus on the ferry was amazing. Once we arrived we didn’t stop. We had fantastic doner kebab, stuffed mussels, lamb soup, Turkish ravioli and much more. It was a brilliant day that really made our trip and we were lucky to have a well travelled and fun group with us. We loved Selen’s sense of humour and that we learned a lot about Turkey as well as food from her. ( We were on the same tour as a recent one star review and all I will say is the other nine of us had a very different opinion to that review)

This was an amazing tour. We were immersed in the Turkish culture on both the European and Asian sides of the city. The food at each stop was fantastic. And our guide shared wonderful stories throughout the day.

What a great experience. Our guide spoke excellent english and showed us the best of Turkish foods. He told us lots of great history along the way. We got plenty of local dishes to try. We were full by the end of the day. I would recommend this tour. Note- there is a lot of walking so be prepared.

Plan on starting with an empty stomach, because you will fill it up during this tour. We had a fun day with our guide Tunç, who kept us entertained with his knowledge of the areas and food places we visited. We had a great time. Crossing the Bosphorus and continuing on the Asian side of Istanbul was a extra thrill.
