Salzburg's Grand Evening: Mozart, Fortress Feast & River Cruise

This was a lovely experience. Service on the boat and at the dinner was excellent. We enjoyed the boat doing a few Strauss twirls! Dinner was most excellent in the fortress and the concert was superb - such talent and a good mix of shorter classical pieces set in the most stunning room. We were so glad we got to do this - very memorable and totally worth doing!

People should know about the 300 steep stone steps that have to be traversed to access the concert. For anyone this could be challenging. As an able but older person I found this exgausting. Had I known about the 300 steps I would not have booked this activity.

I think if I was doing this again I would skip the cruise and dinner and just do the concert. The dinner was pleasant but we were hen very tired for the concert. The concert was great.

It was a lovely experience. We booked the VIP boat trip, dinner and concert. The boat trip was fairly short but very nice with drinks and snacks available to buy and commentary in Germany and English. We then had to make our own way up to the fortress where we had a lovely dinner followed by the most magical concert in a candlelit room a the top ofd the fortress with world class musicians. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that thee is a ten minute walk from the boat up the fortress and then from the entrance of the fortress to the concert room is up 300 steps. This needs to be made clearer in the tour description as a couple of our party had real difficult in getting up there and it is just not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Boat trip is okay. Worth 20 Euro in my view. Dinner was the low point. Great view and surroundings, yes, service also. Food not great. And of course they rip you on the drinks. 13$C for a bottle of water. Bla bla. Feneckular 15 Euro each. However, the concert was a lot of fun. Musicians were very good. Sooo, just do that. Castle and view is ok.

The boat ride was fun and informative The captain explained in English also. Dinner was amazing and the concert was outstanding even though you had to climb numerous stairs to get to the top. Fortress was very interesting.

The veal entree was terrible. There was no flavor. And there was a hint for freezer burn. The potatoes were a little dry and salty. The bread was hard with no flavor. We would have enjoyed real butter better with a soft fresh bread. In 2023, my husband and I really enjoyed the meal with a beef filet which was very good. We were all 4 disappointed in the entree. The soup and the dessert was very good.

Overall it was a great opportunity to see Salzburg from the river, eat some good food and enjoy some Mozart. What I didn’t understand is why they couldn’t have had a guide because it was at times confusing going from 1 part of the city to another. I certainly don’t think a guide was necessary for the entire trip but perhaps this company could provide at least as t a YouTube video explaining everything so to make this a more cohesive experience. We enjoyed the boat ride, cable car ride, dinner and concert. The restaurant was picturesque and the meal delicious! Waiter was attentive. The concert was absolutely excellent! A wonderful experience.

Dinner and concert were awesome. Views are incredible and musicians so talented. Dinner was wonderful looking at the mountains. I’d skip the boat cruise.
