From start to finish, I had the most thrilling and memorable experience! It was honestly my most favourite tour out of all my tours in India. Adi, my tour guide was so warm and welcoming. I felt like I had known him for years, he just has that way about him. Being a solo female traveler, it makes such a difference to have such a personable tour guide. The tour was curated in a way that truly connects you to local life in Mumbai. Adi also has relationships with the local people you meet along the way which made the experience so much more authentic and made me feel a part of the community. I cannot recommend this tour enough and can’t wait to do it again!

We explored Bombay this morning with Nasreen, an engaging and knowledgeable guide of Parsi heritage. She shared the city’s history with warmth, clarity and enthusiasm, weaving in the stories of her community in a way that felt both personal and insightful. Attentive, fun and thoughtful throughout, she even captured some lovely photos of us along the way — a great bonus to a great tour. We did feel the tour was a bit expensive for what it was, though that’s probably not on Nasreen herself. Overall, a memorable experience and a guide we’re happy to recommend.

We woke up with mumbai and it was wonderful. We went through all the things that makes the city of mumbai alive that we never see if we dont pay attention. The different markets (fish, flowers), the network of newspapers deliveries... This dawn was wonderfully told by the best guide we could dream of, Nas, a wonderful and very cultivated lady. Merci !

Amazing early morning tour of the fish, vegetable, fruit and flower markets of Mumbai, along with a look at how newspapers are distributed. Adi gave us an entertaining, yet informative, commentary, whilst Nishtha and Twinkle kept us safe in the very (very!) busy walks round the market places (whilst telling us we were there on a quiet day!) Definitely worth getting up early for.

The tour was incredibly well-organised. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the city. Small tip: don't dress up for this tour and better buy cheap crocks before taking the tour.

This was one of the highlights of our holiday and gave us an insight into life in Mumbai which we would never have had without Adi's brilliant guiding. The fishmarket before dawn was a revelation - a separate city within a city - with a unique atmosphere which gave us an understanding of a largely hidden world which is vitally important to the economy of the city. As the sun rose we moved on to see other markets - flowers and fruit - and the men organising distribution of the morning papers, hard copies of the news still has a key part to play in the life in Mumbai. Adi took care to tailor his commentary to the needs of our group (there were just four of us) providing us with chai at the paper vendors and bananas at the fruit market to keep our strength up. Back for breakfast after a three hour trip went in a flash - truly memorable and highly recommended.

Very interactive experience with our guide NES. She has a great insight into the early morning workings of the city. Saw newspaper distribution underway, milk and bread delivery points and fish, vegetables and flower markets. The high point for us was the flower market.
