Nimisha Nair, our guide, was wonderful: efficient, energetic, passionate and a joy to be with. Her knowledge of subject was excellent. We very much enjoyed the entire experience, Mumbai by Dawn, that she led. When in Mumbai, do yourself a favour and book this tour. Derek and Louise, Australia.

We spent day 2 in Mumbai with our guide Batul, an experienced guide and native of Mumbai. We began well before the crack of dawn at a fish market, which brought smells and an intensity that I have never seen before. We then progressed to a fruit market, a flour market, and a gigantic laundry that employs 3k people on a daily basis. As an American, I have never seen anything remotely like any of these sites, especially the laundry. Batul was extremely knowledgeable about each of the sights, both in the history book kind of way, and with a local spin (how Mumbai residents perceive of the things we were seeing). She was also extremely patient with some of our day 2 logistical needs (i.e. getting cash and water).

Aditya, (Adi), was the guide for my wife and me. He was excellent in every aspect. His knowledge of Mumbai is second to none. Apart from being very professional in his work, he was very friendly and personable. It is impossible to think one could have a better guide. The tour itself is very well worth doing, and Adi simply made it even better!

Mumbai is so fascinating and beautiful. For our second visit we looked for experiences that would take us closer and deeper to people, life and the inner workings of such a diverse and wonderful place. Mumbai at Dawn with just perfect. Our guide Batul immediately felt like a good friend was showing us around. The attention to detail (booties for the fish market to protect our shoes as one example), to the relationships and interactions with vendors along the route, the specific cultural context she provided, struck the perfect balance for my husband and I. I left with a ton of recommendations of things to do, places to eat, and with a deep love for the workers that make this city tick. Just magic!

A really interesting tour and a great tour guide. It was an early morning but it gave us such a real insight into the city and how it comes alive and the people/industries that are critical to making things happen - things you would never think would be taking place in the wee hours of the morning. We have been on lots of tours through our travels but this was one of the most unique. Our guide Nimisha was really, really good. Knowledgable, personable and so easy to talk to and ask questions of regardless of the topic. We were with Nimisha for three days during our three week trip in India. My husband and I both agreed that she was the best guide we had during the trip.

Nasreen (Nas), is a thoroughly engaging, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining guide with a clear passion for her subject. The tour incorporated the Docks to see the Fish market, then onto the Vegetable, Fruit and Flower markets, and also included the Newspaper Distributors. This is a side of Mumbai many people would not have experienced and is well worth including in a stay. It also makes you appreciate how the whole City works.

Nas took us on a fascinating tour of the early morning fish, fruit, vegetable and flower markets as well as the news paper distributors. A vibrant experience of a different side to Mumbai. Nas shared her knowledge of the markets with great enthusiasm and humour. It was a sight and smell of Mumbai we had not expected to see and we loved it. Don't miss the chance to experience it with Nas.
