Antelope Island & Great Salt Lake: Utah's Wild Wonders

The tour itself was wonderful, and the guide was incredibly kind and accommodating. However, I was very disappointed with TripAdvisor’s handling of my booking. The ticket I received listed the tour start time as 4:30 pm, which turned out to be incorrect. It appears the time was based on the time zone of the person who created the ticket rather than the local time of 1:30 pm. As a result, I was an hour away visiting another town when the guide called to ask if I was joining. Thankfully, the guide waited for me to drive back, since I was the only participant. But because we started over an hour late, I missed out on the hike, the part of the tour I was most looking forward to. While the tour was still enjoyable, it was incomplete due to the time error. I hope TripAdvisor will improve its booking process to prevent this sort of mix-up. Unfortunately, this experience has made me hesitant to book tours through TripAdvisor in the future.

Blake was an amazing guide! Not only was he knowledgeable about Antelope Island but the Salt Lake City area. He was friendly, funny and attentive to all the attendees. But above all he was just as curious as we were. The island was breathtaking. We were lucky enough to attend on the day of the bison run! While we did not see any pronghorns, we did see the ranchers embark and bring the bison together at the end. Truly a wonderful experience!

Katie Mac was an excellent guide. We travelled through Antelope park and received continuous information on the habitat and the animals of the park and surrounding area. We saw dozens of bison close up and from afar.

Our tour guide, David was great! The tour was fun, seeing the wildlife and the views were amazing! Wonderful tour, would highly recommend! Was so convenient to be picked up and dropped off right at my hotel!

Amazing experience! Highly recommend. The views are great, you get to see a lot of bison, and it’s almost impossible to not feel the serenity 🤩 Amalia is the best tour guide ever and also an amazing photographer! Extremely knowledgeable, high energy, and a great leader!

What a lovely experience. I joined the afternoon tour. Although it was short but we had a great time. Thanks to John who made this trip extra special. He is so knowledgeable and took us to amazing spots. I suggest the afternoon tour starts at 3 in October instead of 4:30 so we will have more time enjoying the scenes. Again, a special thanks to our guide John.

The sites were amazing. Tour guide will make the difference. Our guide was unorganized causing unrelated subjects to be covered. In turn we felt we missed items we expected to experience.

Super enjoyable adventure, with a super solid guide (Chris). It was a beautiful day and We got to see a bunch of Bison, visited the salt lake, hiked Buffalo Point Trail and saw some pronghorn antelopes. 10/10, would recommend.
