Unforgettable Sani Pass: Private 4x4 Journey to Africa's Peak

I spoke with Angie and booked a private tour for 3 of us a few months out. From the start she was very responsive and provided all the information we wanted to know about booking. When our guide Greg picked us up morning of the tour, he arrived early and we were greeted with a lovely treat - a beautiful bouquet of flowers for each of the ladies on the trip, a bottle of water each, a small souvenir and some handmade fudge. Greg was knowledgeable and friendly and stopped at multiple places along the drive to 'show and tell' about different sights and history. About half way up the pass we stopped at a viewpoint and when we returned to the vehicle he had homemade muffins and an assortment of homemade cookies waiting, along with coffee or juice. When we got into Lesotho and the small village, Greg shared so much knowledge about the history, people and culture and we could see that he had a real relationship with the Beotho villagers, finding personal ways to support and guide them with improving life in their small village. It was a treat to be able to meet one of the local ladies and try her homemade bread. It was delicious. Greg made the drive safe, and as smooth as possible though the rough 4x4 route. I wasnt worried at any point about safety. I will be highly reccomending this tour and the company to anyone I know planning to visit South Africa. Thank you so much Angie and Greg

Just had the amazing trip up the Sani passing .Greg our driver was excellent,punctual ,and a very good driver.He made this trip with his vast knowledge and easy going manner. The pass was challenging but in the comfortable 4 wheel drive provided it was enjoyable. Certainly recommend this trip as well the personal touches of flowers, home made cakes ,biscuits, coffee and fudge. Thank you for a great day out.

Recommend as the best company for the Sani Pass day trip with a personal touch in ZA! Also great value for money. Spent a great day in Lesotho from Underberg. The driver picked us up at 9 o’clock in the morning on a comfortable 4x4 Jeep, amazing welcome gifts from Angie: homemade chocolate, Lesotho hay souvenirs and flowers. We had a really smooth drive up through amazing nature park. Had a quick coffee break with home made cookies and muffins. Beautiful viewpoints followed by about 8 km self “South African massage”: driving up through the Sani pass off-road on the top of the mountains. Quickly passed the border and finally had a quick hike next to the Black Mountain pass enjoy this day a lot thanks to our driver and Angie for organising this!

Everything was perfectly organized – we felt taken care of from start to finish. The cookies, coffee, and lovely gifts were a delightful touch that made the journey even more special. Our driver was fantastic – friendly, professional, and full of fascinating stories about Lesotho. It was a wonderful adventure that we will remember for a long time!

Our day trip to Sani Pass with guide Nathi was really great. Because of a worse wheather forecast we tried to switch our booked tour date and the Private Tour Team and guide Nathi made it possible. Therefore we could enjoy the trip on a sunny day! The Sani Pass is amazing, the visit of a Lesotho home and the highest pub in Africa a nice experience! Our guide was a good driver, very sympathic and he could explain a lot. So we spend a beautiful day in the Drakensberge!

What a great day Greg and Angie made for me! The landscape was out of this world, the visit to a Lesothan lady warm and informative. Greg's driving was perfect and he was always ready to enlighten me (I am very curious) But I will always remember the many heartwarming details: Delicious homemade treats, little gifts, a funny "Sani Pass Certificate" with a nice picture of its hair-raising road. Even a bouquet of flowers, can you believe it! And a private tour for a more than reasonable price... So, a million thanks to Greg and Angie for making a special day even more special with their generous thoughtfulness. I will not easily forget this day!

The trip certainly exceeded our expectations. Angie provided the most delicious birthday treats and little gifts making my husbands day really special. Definitely made memories to last a lifetime. Our Guide Greg was fun yet professional, experienced and very knowledgeable about the area. Angie takea the lunch order ahead of time to reduce waiting time which is marvelous on a busy day. Lunch was delicious... recommend the pizzas and curry.

This was an absolutely amazing and very educational tour. Not only did they make it very romantic with champagne and homemade heart cupcakes for our anniversary but the tour guide, Nomvelo, had a wide knowledge on plants, birds to the history of the area and the Sani Pass, which it a lot more of a in-depth outing. The tea stop, detail to cards, menus and homemade treats were so thought out and worth the extra effort. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a more exclusive and unique experience to going up Sani pass
