We had a great time on our Classic Bologna Food Tour. We especially enjoyed our guide Darren’s story of how he ended up as a food tour guide and chef in Bologna from our shared hometown in North Carolina. Our stop for coffee was great. He explained the variety of options very well, and even though I’ve pretty much quit drinking coffee in the U.S, I would drink whatever I had there everyday if I could. The gelato stop was delicious and our stop for lunch was fantastic I’m glad we went!

Federica led a great tour with lots of local insights and special shops and restaurants where we made a stop. Bologna is for foodies and she is the sherpa! Our nine year old had a good time, too.

Federica took us on a lovely walk of Bologna city center explaining all along the way the locations we were passing and stopping in to purchase our food. She was an encyclopedia of knowledge about each food and its history and how specific each process is to get the various labels and designations. We learned so much. We stopped at the oldest osteria in Bologna to enjoy those purchases and have some delicious wine. Next stop was pizza, tho I’m not sure why Roman style while in Bologna, but it was very good!! Final stop was for gelato and again, we learned so much about it from Federica! This was a very special way to spend the evening in Bologna! Definitely recommend!

Great experience food crawling through Bologna. This tour played like a culinary greatest hits of the city. Our guide was a chef, so the detail around the food of the region was very good. Every bite was delicious and fully representative of the region.

We had a wonderful tour with Darren. He is very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the region’s food and history as we wended our way through markets and in and out of special shops. Highly recommend.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide was informative and fun. The food and wine were a perfect balance to exploring the city. I can’t imagine anyone saying this is anything less than 5 stars. I’m glad they weren’t in my group.

Federika was so fun, knowledgeable and considerate. She was also very organized and made sure that things flowed smoothly . She was very kind to the one vegetarian in our group. Made her feel included and cared for. She kept a good pace, but we never felt rushed.

Our guide was outstanding. He gave us so much information about food and shops and things to do. He could have led a full day excursion and we would’ve been so happy. We rate him highly and will recommend him in the future. We so enjoyed his take on different varieties of food

Great experience - our guide Matteo was super knowledgeable about food in general and Bolognese in particular. Learned an amazing amount in just a few hours - also tried fantastic and unusual coffees, local pasta, local meats cheese and wine. Ended with the best gelato we’ve ever had. Very entertaining - moved quickly between stops never a dull moment.
