Savor Bologna's Secrets: Unforgettable Walking Food Tour
On our Secret Food Tour Bologna: we'll provide you with an unforgettable taste experience. We'll start with a traditional welcoming sweet. Then, we'll visit one of the oldest Salumeria of the city to learn more about the local meat products and the famous pastas. You'll enjoy: Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Mortadella di Bologna and many more regional cold cuts in the oldest Osteria in the world with a glass of our local wine. Next we have planned a taste of fresh, handmade pasta made just for us at a local Trattoria, always with a glass of local wine (and a coffee, if you like it) Then we will visit the main local food market, called Quadrilatero, and we'll enjoy a tasting of different types of balsamic vinegar from Modena (8-12-25 years of aging) to discover how this amazing tradition is still deeply rooted in this region. Please note that we are not able to offer any gluten-free or vegan option yet.

Great tour with delicious food, fantastic wine and an amazing guide: Claire. Bologna is known as "the fat" and this tour really helps you to understand the reason of it!

Mattia was a terrific guide. He was thoroughly knowledgeable about the food, culture and history of Bologna, friendly, engaging, informative and spoke excellent English. He was passionate about the city and its food and even shared two recipes with us, one of why was his great grandmother’s. We had a wide variety of great local food and wines. A superb way to spend four hours, even though it rained throughout.

Our guide Federica was extremely knowledgeable and make the experience great. The food and wine were excellent during the tour especially the balsamic tasting.

This was an amazing experience! Mattai was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about his city and the history of cuisine in Bologna. We loved every stop we made and he followed us the tour by sending us a list of the places we visited and the food we ate!!! Would 100% recommend this tour.

Don’t eat breakfast before you go. There’s plenty of food. Frederika was a great guide, very knowledgeable about Bologna’s food history

Our tour guide, Federica, is truly knowledgeable and presented so well. She also demonstrated professionalism and composure. During the tour, a participant appeared to be a medical emergency. Frederica handled the entire incident with calm and exceptional speed, ensuring the person received the necessary attention while discreetly managing the rest of the group.

Our guide,Claire, was terrific. We not only learned about the food but she also told us about the city as well. Come hungry. We ate throughout the tour and tasted the food that Bologna and the nearby regions are known for. The tour finished with gelato. Need I say more?

My husband and I were fortunate to have Matthew as our guide and we were glad that we purchased this tour. We saw beautiful and unique Bologna. We tasted wonderful food. And we learned so much from Matthew.
