Franz Josef: Unforgettable Twin Glacier Heli-Flight!

Amazing experience on the glaciers! From the booking process with the friendly and professional Tiana to the check-in while waiting for the pilot’s approval, everything was perfect. The entire staff was exceptional. The experience itself was outstanding and truly unforgettable. Landing on a glacier like Fox Glacier is an honor and a unique emotion. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, weather did not cooperate with our plans. It was extremely foggy for our tour date, but the staff rebooked us for the following day. We went through all of the safety training and were waiting by the helipad when our second excursion was canceled again due to weather. Mother nature always has the final say! The staff offered to rebook us, but we had to move onto our next location. The staff was completely understanding and refunded our payment.

Booked last minute for a flight around Mount Cook and the glaciers with a snow landing. Sadly, we were down graded as Mt Cook at the time was still in cloud. However, it was still the most amazing experience! Rich, our pilot was really informative about the glaciers and the surrounding area. Luckily for us the cloud had cleared when we flew up there but it was still too windy to approach the other side of Mt Cook but we were just so happy to see it in all its glory! Landing on the glacier was surreal and I have to say was one of the most memorable experiences of our holiday. Thanks to the whole team (the lovely bookings lady and the check-in/safety team and the pilot) for your professionalism, humour and reassurance! Would highly recommend!!!!

The trip was re-booked due to weather, but the re-booked trip was wonderful and exhilarating. The pilot was also very patient and helpful as I'd had a bad fall two days before and had trouble walking. Thank you all for your kindness and a terrific trip.

Hands down THE most amazing thing I’ve done. To be standing on a glacier..wow! The pilot was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgable.

Really impressed with the whole process. We called in to glacier helicopters (sister company) day before trip to confirm and were given instructions on where to go on the day. Everything went very smoothly - safety was paramount but did not detract from the trip (franz josef and fox glacier) with a put down on the fox glacier which was amazing. Cant recommend them highly enough. Amazing pilot (Richard i think) did a fabulous job of telling us about the glaciers and surrounding area and helped us out into the slippery glacier. Wonderful!!

Awesome! Jay was our pilot and did an excellent job. We had a beautiful morning with the sun shining and we could see Mt Cook. The landing on the glacier was fantastic. We spent probably half of the 30 minutes of the trip just staring in awe while standing on the glacier. It’s absolutely stunning. Words (and pictures) don’t do it justice. You have to take a flight – and do a landing.
