Milford Sound: Breathtaking 2-Hr Fiordland Scenic Journey

We drove from Te Anau which took about 2 hours. Check in was easy. The building has bathroom facility which was clean. Paid parking was $10 an hour. The cruise started on time. Our boat with Mitre Peak was a smaller one but it was not crowded. We were able to get close to waterfalls. Everything was good except the engine was a bit loud. The cruise itself was lovely. It was an enjoyable experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip, the commentary was informed and with a sense of humour. Our hostess was very aproachable and friendly and the facilities were very clean.

The cruise was excellent as were the sights - waterfalls, seals, mountains, etc. You will get wet so be sure to have a rain jacket with you if you plan on going out onto the front or back decks. You never know when you will be splashed - so enjoy it! You may sit inside at benches and tables if you do not want to get wet. Take a lunch with you to eat inside if you are going near lunch time. Tea, hot chocolate and coffee are available on board, but nothing to eat. The captain provided wonderful commentary throughout the cruise.

The trip was well organized. Instructions were clear and sent promptly. Mitre peak adventures coordinated the trip well. The group was a decent size so you had ample opportunity to go all the boat spots for pictures. Will recommend strongly

Fantastic experience. Got to see penguins frolicking in the water and seals sunbathing. Had perfect weather. Highly recommend.

Actually i missed my boat. Arrive at the parking around 10minutes before time. Looking for a parking, then que to pay parking, walk to the terminal quite far takes few minutes. When arrived at counter, the boat already sail few minutes 😅 . But mitre peak staff really helpful. They give option to me to wait for other 2 slots even its full, maybe got people lime me didnt show up on time, i they slot me in but still more hours to wait. They give another option to me to transfer to other company. And its available to sail in 20minutes. But comes with additional charge and i chose it. No need to wait. Thanks Mitre Peak

Despite the raining day our tour was gorgeous and informative. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Fantastic even in a stormy weather. Absolutely worth. Very windy and rainy morning cruise 8:50 AM but crew did a fabulous job. Cannot experience this an anywhere else on the planet. 2 Hr cuise. It was a full cruise but manageable crowd. Best for anyone.
