Hanoi to Halong Bay: Luxury Catamaran Day Cruise Escape

Great day with a fantastic catamaran cruise. The boat was spacious and had plenty of seating options and the food was fantastic. It was a long day and includes about a three hour drive from the centre of Hanoi but well worth it in my opinion and would recommend.

Very comfortable bus ; catamaran was beautiful, food was amazing. Swimming and exploring the caves was so fun. Whole day was fantastic and the highlight of our trip. Also worth noting both bus and cat had wifi which made for happy teenagers - absolutely recommended it!

Wonderful cruise experience, would recommend this tour to get a taste of Halong Bay if you don’t have much time in the area. We loved the kayaking and swimming activities- the views were absolutely stunning. The catamaran itself was luxurious, clean and had plenty of different lounge/seating options. Lovely Catamaran with great food and lots of it. Bamboo boat ride through the caves was lovely but very hot ! We took the package with a private transfer each way and Would definitely recommend this. 12 hour day but well worth it!

It could have been better if there were some ra-ra from the staff. The atmosphere was quite dead as compared to another cruise in Phuket. And the price is rather steep.

We had an incredible experience with The Catamaran Luxury Day Cruise to Halong Bay from Hanoi. Everything was handled professionally from start to finish. Pickup from the hotel was seamless. Although the bus couldn’t access our hotel directly, an escort was sent to guide us to the pickup point, which made the process smooth and stress-free. The food on board was excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised by how well they catered to our dietary requirements. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed a cooking class during the cruise—it was a great learning experience and added a fun, hands-on element to the day. The views were simply breathtaking. Cruising through Halong Bay was like being in a dream. The landscape is stunning and the peaceful atmosphere made it all the more memorable. The ride itself was incredibly smooth—there were moments we forgot we were even on a boat! Lastly, the crew was outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, spoke excellent English, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable and happy. The only downside was the return bus ride. There was a 30-minute delay while waiting for other passengers. While this wasn’t the fault of the bus crew, it could have been handled better. A bit more communication would have gone a long way, especially since we were sitting in a parked bus in 35°C heat. It made for an uncomfortable end to an otherwise perfect day. Despite that minor issue, this cruise was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Halong Bay in comfort and style.

This Halong Bay cruise was very enjoyable. The guide did a great job explaining the sites and general Vietnamese culture. The catamaran was well appointed, the food was great and the spa and slides make it stand out over others.

Incredible time in Ha Long Bay, well spent your time in the bay and full day of fun activities and tasty food, Mr Ben and all the crew of the Halong Catamaran were amazing the best of the best of the viet hospitality

We originally booked this boat but they cancelled us and moved us to Jadesails. It. Was. Fabulous. Cannot recommend it highly enough! It truly is a luxury cruise, right down to the food. The extra care with any food allergies or dietary restrictions is over the top! I’m Sure this boat is great as well (if it’s anything like the sister ship Jadesails), but I can seriously recommend the extra few bucks to upgrade to a Jadesails. We had an awesome day!

A full amazing day from start to finish. “Pete” was very knowledgeable and friendly. The whole team was excellent. The food was delicious, the activities were fun and the service was exceptional. Cảm ơn 🙏
