Epic Leshan Buddha & Timeless Huanglongxi: A Sichuan Day Tour

What a wonderful day exploring the majestic Leshan Giant Buddha and the charming ancient town! Seeing the Giant Buddha up close from both the top and the river level was breathtaking, and the views were spectacular. We were extremely grateful for our excellent and professional driver, Shi Jianhua, who made the journey comfortable and safe. The visit to Huanglongxi Ancient Town was a delightful bonus, offering a lovely glimpse into local history and architecture. This tour is perfectly paced, highly recommended, and well-deserving rating.

I would highly recommend this experience. The drive was very comfortable and safe. The driver (whose name I didn't catch) was very professional and provided lots of water to quench my thirst. He is also very patient as I took a long time in Leshan Buddha Scenic area since I got a little bit lost while sightseeing. The areas visited don't really require a guide and there is a lot of signs in english, so this self-paced tour is a perfectly valid option.

We enjoyed this no pressure, private tour. The pickup was punctual, driving was safe. Our driver, Luo, did a good job taking us to everywhere we want. There was no pressure and we had lots of time to enjoy. The Buddha is massive, it’s incredible. Huanglongxi is beautiful, I can hang there all day, so much food and shops! Luo helped us get tickets, order food, communication was via translate and WeChat. He gave us a paper to read about the destination and it was very informative. He was very nice and he had a very friendly demeanor. Thank you for the kindness!

The trip was amazing, the Giant Buddha is of course wonderful and worth seeing. Also the Ancient Town. My driver, Li Chao, was amazing, careful, safe and thoughtful. He made all this possible

The trip is well coordinated from the time we booked all the way to drop off. Communication before the trip was relevant and timely. Our driver, Mr. Li Chao, was very helpful all day. He helped us with purchasing tickets, communicated with vendors on our behalf when needed, and made sure that the trip was at our own pace. Destinations on this trip are a good combination of a UNESCO Heritage Site (Leshan Giant Buddha) and a well-restored ancient town, Huanglonxi. Both worth visiting for different reasons, which makes the day balanced and enjoyable. Overall, this is a great day trip from Chengdu.
