1. The Guenther House is a historic and iconic restaurant located in the King William District of San Antonio, Texas. It was originally built in 1859 by Carl Hilmar Guenther as a residence and eventually converted into a restaurant and museum. The restaurant is known for serving traditional southern cuisine and their famous homemade biscuits, as well as a variety of baked goods made from Guenther’s flour mill, Pioneer Flour Mills. The museum portion of the Guenther House showcases the history of the flour mill and the Guenther family.
