Antigua to Atitlán: Breathtaking Lake Cruise & Village Tour

Our guide DAVIS knew the 2.5 hour route to our destination and all the information about the towns along the way. Including anthropological histories, agriculture, changes and progression, and the history of the Mayan culture Safe driver Attentive Gave us space when needed

We had the absolute best time with Andrea! She is extremely knowledgeable about the area and made sure we got to see everything possible. Cannot say enough great things about her!!!!!

Ended up spending a majority of the day in transit to/from the lake. The guide didn't necessarily manage the time well (lunch took multiple hours), so we ran out of time in Panajachel and didn't get a chance to explore. But, the stop in San Juan la Laguna was wonderful (including the women's weaving coop) - it just felt short.

Lake atitlan drive there was beautiful, and the rude across the lake was fun but bumpy. We explored San Juan with Tuk tuks and then walked and had a beer, before heading back for a wonderful lunch by the lake in Panachjel.

The tour was a lot of fun, starting with a private ride from Antigua to the lake, a boat ride across the lake with beautiful views of the volcanos, a tour of the city and the vibrant shops, and an easy return trip. Our guide was also so sweet and helpful every step of the way.

We have booked an English speaking guide and we got a private tour (just the 3 of us) with a very friendly guy (Davis). He offered us some good advices and showed us very interesting spots in San Juan de Laguna. This was an excellent trip, well organized - so I would definitely recommend it.

A relatively long 2.5 hours to the lake but what a gorgeous place! Boat ride to San Juan de la Laguna, which is full of art, murals, textiles, and chocolate! Perfect day long trip if you have the time.

The lake was definitely worth seeing and our guide Mirko did a terrific job of shepherding our small motley band of tourists through the colorful maze of San Juan, boats, Panajachel, etc. His commentaries on the town and the culture was interesting as well. His recommendation for lunch at Don Rodrigo in Panajachel was helpful too that was very pleasant.

Had a wonderful experience. Lake Atitlan is a must see in Guatemala. Although it was a group tour- it ended up just being 3 of us & it felt like a private tour. Our tour guide was great. The only scary thing was the drive there… it was a lot of accidents on the way & lots of trucks etc.

Oscar was very knowledgeable and did his best for us to enjoy everything that this place had to offer.
