Hamburg Port Discovery: Exclusive 1-Hour Barge Adventure

I haven't explore yet. So it difficult to say. But I would like to learn more about Hamburg City with this tour and meet people.

The Guide was Great. I have Never Been so close to big ships. Fantastic ride. Very useful informations about Hamburg.

Great tour of some canals with enormous old warehouses down the side. Then out into the port to see enormous cruise ships, huge container ships, yachts, naval vessels, rigged ships and even a U-boat. The downsides were the poor directions to the place to collect the ticket (a man at the top of a ramp) and lack of any information in English or map so very hard to know where we were!

We got lucky with our timing as there were only 8 passengers on the barge so there was plenty of room to walk about the deck, at other times I saw these boats full of people! The captain’s commentary was funny, at least what I understood – note that it’s German-only. We were taken round the docks and got close some interesting vessels, as well as got great views of the notable buildings along the banks. The main attraction for me was getting very close to a giant container ship as it was being (un)loaded. It makes you think how large scale these operations go. Time and money well spent, would recommend to anyone interested to learn about the docks and the surrounding area.

Great tour with real Hamburger Schnack 😉. Totally recommended.We were three and because it is a smaller boat, you immediately feel comfortable if you do not want to be with tens of hundreds of people on one boat.

Very nice harbour tour with Popeye a real hamburger, also former workers in the docks, who holds a lot of anecdotes and expertise and gives everything with hamburger charm to the best. Thanks also to co-helmsman Robin and the rest of the crew Bülow for this beautiful ride.

Eine ca. 1 1/2 h Fahrt durch den Hamburger Hafen mit vielen sehenswerten Punkten. Interessant und entspannend.

Highly recommended!!!! Due to the fact that the barges do not depart directly from the landing piers, the prices are cheaper and the boats are not as full. And I love to go with the old barges and not just any new tourist boats. In addition, Captain "Popeye" has a real idea as a former dock worker and not just reads down general information. Thanks to his entertaining but informative explanations it was totally exciting and I got many new insights. As a hamburger, I have already made some harbour tours. That was the best! Next time we'll be back! Danke, Popeye!
