Although these are a great way to see cities, and this wan no exception, this one we thought lacking for the reasons I’ve mentioned - need to run every 20 mins as a min, not 30 min. One bus failed to turn up, with two then at the same time, leaving us waiting 40 mins - which is so annoying as the whole service only runs for 7hrs! Blue route was disappointing, with few stops and a general lack of opportunities to see things (Eden Park) and the same bus changing from Red to Blue and back again (at the War Museum) was annoying, meaning you have to get off the Red and then wait for the next bus, if you just want to do the Red route. The staff at stops weren’t very helpful, so all a little shambolic. I wouldn’t say don’t do this, but you should bear this in mind if you’re intending to plan an eventful day - as you may fail to achieve it all with the service they offer.

Great way toget a overview of Auckland. Be prepared for a hike to the top of Mr. Eden. I forget the Maori name. The penguins at Kelly Tarltons were cool. If you plan it right you won't have to climb the hills back to your hotel.

Lasted 2 hours both circuits, very pleasant and informative. Lovely city, very green. Reasonable price, very helpful staff.

The driver was extremely knowledgeable! He was also very kind and helpful. It was a remarkable trip thanks to him.

Easy to redeem voucher at one of two places in the city. Great way to get around and learn about a new city.

We took the yellow line was disappointed with the majority of the stops. The narration was lackluster at best, very little details compared with other cities we’ve visited and rode on hop on hop off. On one bus the sound was skipping a lot of the narration and making loud cracking sounds. No one onboard could use the system, we did inform the driver.

We always do a Hop on Hop off tour of every major city we visit. Our experience here in Auckland was of the high standard we’ve come to expect of this type of experience. The announcement s were over a speaker system so no need to wear earphones so long as you understand English.

The bus is a good way to see around Auckland. They come regularly & the staff are very friendly & helpful. However, felt we didn’t get close to much & was rushed, and felt there was more to see. Our bus’ recording was also not working

You have to go to the Sky City Tower to exchange your voucher. I wish that had been listed in the booking. We had to ask several people before we got the correct directions. The summer tour is 2 hours and you see a lot of the city. Buses come every 30 minutes (there were only 4 running that day). There was adequate space for everyone. We enjoyed it. The narration was good.
