Bogotá's Golden Heart: Candelaria, Gold & Monserrate Views

Our guide Sarai was fantastic! She was super friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. She answered any questions we had, made adjustments to our tour based on what was most important to us and what we had seen/tried on prior tours in other cities. Her English was fantastic, to top it all off.

Our walking tour of Bogotá was exceptional, thanks to our guide Ludwyn. His fluent English, positive energy, and thoughtful approach to sensitive topics like politics, religion, and colonialism really stood out. He managed to present different perspectives without taking sides, ensuring a balanced experience, He was also flexible with time, keeping our group on track while allowing for a relaxed pace. A small note for future travelers: although the tour is listed as 5 to 7 hours, please know that not all of that time is spent walking—there are informative stops along the way, and the pace is always comfortable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore Bogotá!

We had a fine guide named Sarai for our tour of the city, visiting all the listed places and enjoying stops for fruit and coffee sampling. Our guide Sarai is quite well-informed and gladly answered our many questions about life in Colombia, history etc. This tour is an excellent way to “jump-start” a visit to Bogota.

Had a wonderful time exploring Bogotá’s heart — La Candelaria, Monserrate, and the town square! 🇨🇴✨ La Candelaria’s colorful streets and colonial charm were full of life and history, while the breathtaking view from Monserrate made the climb completely worth it. The best experience I had to know more about Bogota in one day! Emilio was my tour guide, he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating ! It doesn’t feel like a tour guide, it’s like a friend talking to you about his place! We basically went to every famous spot and museum in Bogota including Monserrate, La Candelaria, gold museum, lots of churches, and plazas. We also did some food exploration like hot cocoa drink with cheese, chocolates, and Colombian coffee ( the best coffee I’ve tasted with no sugar or added sweetener). You won’t regret it! I only had two full days in Bogota. I booked a seven hour tour on one of those days. Perfect way to see a lot in a short amount of time. My your guide Andrés was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the country's history and tour sites. He's a local...he added a great personal perspective on things. I appreciated that. Being that it was a seven hour tour, he was very patient with me...making sure that the tour moved at a comfortable pace for me. I felt like I was getting a tour from a friend instead of a stranger.

Lizeth was cordial and very well informed. We had some difficulty understanding her English due to her rapid speaking manner and heavy accent.

I took an all day tour with Gran Columbia Tours. Samara Perez was the tour guide. She arrived timely and was friendly (so was the driver). She provided a lot of information about Bogota, its history, economics, art, food, and culture. She also took pictures of me, which was great. I really enjoyed spending the day with her and I enjoyed the sites of Bogota. Her passion for Bogota was obvious. I would recommend a tour with Samara to anyone.
