Your winter holiday begins in Montreal at the gracious Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, conveniently built over the train station and connected to the extensive underground city. This evening, meet your holiday companions at a get-acquainted reception followed by dinner in the Montrealais bistro at FAIRMONT THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HOTEL.

Day 2 BL
Montreal Sightseeing
Today, take a guided sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the enchanting Basilica du Notre Dame and St. Joseph’s Oratory, where nativity displays from around the world are exhibited. Lunch is at a charming restaurant in Old Montreal. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to explore. As Montreal is arguably one of the most sophisticated, stylish and entertaining cities in the world, you have a host of options before you. You might enjoy the Museum of Fine Arts’ excellent collection of modern masters, or visiting the Just for Laughs Museum, which profiles humor in all its varieties. The climate-controlled Underground City is a fascinating area, where shops of all kinds, movies and restaurants are available. Quebec City
This morning, board Via Rail for a relaxing train ride through the Quebec countryside to the “heart” of Old Quebec and then to the landmark hotel, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, which sits high on a bluff overlooking the mighty St. Lawrence River. Quebec City/Christmas Eve
Begin your day with a tour of Old Quebec to view the walled city’s cobblestone streets, aged churches, and turreted buildings. Visit the Museum of Civilization. Travel to Parc de la Chute-Montmorency to view the frozen falls, which tower higher than Niagara. Have lunch at the historic L’Auberge Baker, which has been serving guests for over half a century. Next visit Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, first established in 1620 by shipwrecked sailors as a shrine. Inside, over two hundred stained glass windows fill the basilica with heavenly light, while huge pillars divide the church aisles. Share the warmth and joy of Christmas Eve at a French Canadian feast in the Le Champlain restaurant this evening at FAIRMONT LE CHATEAU FRONTENAC.

Quebec City/Christmas Day
Joyeux Noel! Enjoy a quiet morning celebrating the holiday as you please. This afternoon, depart on a horse-drawn tram ride through Old Quebec to Aux Anciens Canadiens for an intimate Christmas dinner in historic Maison Jacquet. FAIRMONT LE CHATEAU FRONTENAC
