Colorado Springs
Merry Christmas! Your morning is
free if you wish to attend church service before a delicious Christmas
Day brunch at The Broadmoor. Before sunset, drive to nearby Cheyenne
Canyon to see spectacular rock formations amongst green pines
and to view Helen Hunt Falls, very likely a frozen waterfall at
this time of year. These falls are named for Helen Hunt Jackson,
a staunch 19th century advocate of the Native Americans and the
first female Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Then drive through
Seven Falls Canyon, with Christmas lights placed through the scenic
canyon. Your Christmas farewell dinner is at THE BROADMOOR.
