Day 1 D

Arrive Providence Airport/To Cape Cod/Clambake
Meet your group today at the Providence airport at 4 PM today for a group transfer to the Chatham Bars Inn, called "one of the world's top resorts" by Travel & Leisure Magazine. Settle into your accommodations in the historic main inn, which rests atop a bluff over the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy magnificent views from the hotel's verandah overlooking the beautiful gardens and waves breaking on the outer beach. Your welcome reception and dinner is a fabulous Cape Cod seafood dinner, including a 1¾-pound lobster, clam chowder, steamers and mussels--and all the trimmings. CHATHAM BARS INN

Day 2 BL
Morning stroll/Beach Walk/Cape Cod Tour/Harbor Cruise

After breakfast, meet your tour manager for a guided beach tour. If you prefer to take this time for yourself, you could take a short walk to Chatham Village or schedule a treatment at the Inn's spa. Depart at 11:30 AM to Hyannis for a guided harbor cruise. Hear commentary on the history of the area and view sites along the bay, including the Kennedy Compound, Squaw Island and the Point Gammon Light House. On board, enjoy a box lunch prepared by Chatham Bars Inn. After your cruise, continue by motor coach to Sandwich, Cape Cod's oldest town, to visit the Sandwich Glass Museum, where the history of the town and the glass factory are on display. Then, see a demonstration of the blowing of Sandwich glass. The Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Cape Cod Glassworks, and their local contemporaries produced the original Sandwich glassware from the 1820s into the 1880s. From the 1920s to the present, the original patterns, which have a flower and ornate scroll motif with the space between filled with tiny raised dots, have been produced by a number of makers and are also widely sought-after by collectors. Next, visit the Heritage Museum and Gardens. Founded by Mr. & Mrs. J.K. Lilly III, this museum celebrates the American spirit, preserving and sharing the history, industry, art and horticulture of America. Stroll the grounds and sculpture garden, home to world-renowned Dexter rhododendrons and colorful hydrangeas, then visit the many exhibits in the Museum's three unique galleries. Return to Chatham for a stop at the lighthouse. You could stroll through the village or return to the Inn, as your evening is on your own to enjoy. CHATHAM BARS INN

Day 3 BR
To Nantucket/Walking Tour/Sailor's Valentine Gallery
Depart for Hyannis to board the Gray Lady, a high-speed ferry, for an hour's cruise to Nantucket, where you are transferred directly to your hotel. You are at leisure until a mid-afternoon historical walking tour conducted by the Nantucket Historical Association. Amble through the cobblestone lanes and narrow streets of historic Nantucket to see the some of the whaling captain's mansions, the Atheneum, the Whaling Museum, the Jared Coffin house, the Fair Street Museum, and the Congregational Church. Conclude at the Sailor's Valentine Gallery with a wine and cheese reception, and to meet and talk with local residents of Nantucket. You are free for the remainder of the evening to pursue your own adventures on Nantucket. HARBOR HOUSE VILLAGE RESORT

Day 4 BD
Nantucket Island Tour

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and free time until the mid-morning, when you head out on an island-wide tour via private motor coach conducted by a 3rd generation Nantucketer. Historic sights include the quaint villages of Madaket and Siasconset, the windmill, cranberry bogs and a number of lighthouses. You have the afternoon to spend as you please--strolling the wharfs, shopping, antiquing and gallery hopping, or biking on some of Nantucket's great trails. Day 5 BL
Hyannis/JFK Museum/ To Newport, RI

This morning, depart Nantucket on the Gray Lady to Hyannis to explore exhibits at the John F. Kennedy Museum, which details the lives of the President and the rest of the Kennedy family. Lunch is included today at Tugboats, a local favorite, before you transfer to Newport by motor coach Enjoy a welcome refreshment and a lecture on local history at the landmark Hotel Viking. Located on "Historic Hill" in Newport, in the "Gilded Age," the Hotel Viking received the overflow of elite visitors to the local mansions, and has hosted guests including President Kennedy, the Astors, the Vanderbilts, and international dignitaries and celebrities. You have the rest of the day to explore the heart of this fabulous New England town--which spreads out from the doorstep of your hotel. You might choose to schedule a treatment at the hotel's Indonesian-inspired spa before dinner on your own this evening. THE HOTEL VIKING

Day 6 BLD
Newport Tour/Lunch at Beechwood Mansion

This morning, take a city tour of Newport to explore the life of wealth and power of some of the illuminati of America's "Gilded Age." Explore The Breakers, the Vanderbilt's 70 room Italian Renaissance-style villa, which they called their "summer cottage," and Beechwood, home of Caroline Aster, the undisputed queen of American society, where you will have lunch. Drive along Newport's famed Ocean Drive to view other fabulous mansions, then enjoy free time in Newport. Your farewell dinner this evening is at One Bellevue, considered one of the best dining experiences in Newport. THE HOTEL VIKING

Depart Newport/Conclude Providence Airport
