Day 2 BD
Historical Asheville Trolley Tour/Biltmore Estate

Enjoy an historical tour of Asheville aboard a special vintage trolley. This afternoon, tour Biltmore House, a magnificent chateau filled with priceless art and antiques, its gardens, restored historic horse barn and winery. Tonight, dine family style at the quaint Red Rocker Inn. INN ON BILTMORE ESTATE

Day 3 BL
Great Smoky Mountain Railroad/
Museum of the Cherokee Indian/Gem Mining

You will enjoy an educational visit to the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, followed by a stop at a local ruby mine. After lunch, experience the romance and mystique of an era gone by as you step aboard The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad for an unforgettable steam train excursion. Day 4 BLD
Blue Ridge Parkway/Grandfather Mountain/Linville Caves
This morning, drive to the Linville Caves, where a naturalist takes you “inside” the mountain to see amazing stalactite and stalagmite formations. After lunch, visit famous Grandfather Mountain, where you can brave the mile high swinging bridge that offers breathtaking views of the valley. This evening, enjoy dinner at your historic hotel, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, THE GREEN PARK INN.

Day 5 BD
Stone Mountain Park/Blue Ridge Parkway

Today, visit Stone Mountain Park's awe-inspiring cascading waterfalls, cool streams and peaceful forests. Enjoy an educational seminar with a park ranger to learn about the changing of the leaves. Later, continue your scenic drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Dinner tonight at the hotel is a la carte. HOLIDAY INN UNIVERSITY

Day 6 BL
Blue Ridge Parkway/Virginia Explorers Park

Take a full-day drive along the famous Blue Ridge Parkway with gorgeous fall foliage scenery to enjoy the whole way. Stop at the Virginia Explorers Park, an outdoor living museum, for a look into our nation's past. Later, arrive at the famous Boar's Head Inn, a Blue Ridge country inn and resort which is your home for the next two nights. BOAR'S HEAD INN

Day 7 BD
Charlottesville/Monticello

Today, visit the fabulous estate of Thomas Jefferson at Monticello, guided by a knowledgeable docent. After touring the house, enjoy a nature walk through the garden and orchards of Monticello, or perhaps participate in an apple tasting event. Return to the inn, where you are free to enjoy your afternoon at leisure. A farewell dinner is scheduled this evening at the BOAR'S HEAD INN.

Day 8 B
Conclude Charlottesville
