Walking tour of the city of Puebla

Renato Vasquez is an excellent guide - great English, very knowledgeable about history & area (comes from here & has background in tourism), friendly & helpful about other experiences. Throughout our walk, he made notes about details he wanted to research & add to his tours. Answered all our questions and suggested other reading materials or walks, based on our interest.

I loved the guide's inclusion of the many "Romeo and Juliet" stories to the cultural and historical facts. Puebla is a magical city indeed.

Having a first-rate tour guide is always key and Josue fits this description. As we visitied different mini-neighborhoods around the Zoloco, Josue was always prepared with a legend or other tale involving local characters. A highlight of the tour was seeing a mummy in a church but the major benefit was to get of sense of restaurants and shops we can (and did) visit on our own after the tour. One special spot was La Calle de Los Dulces and I woudn't want my dentist to know what I purchased during our visit!

Our guide - Josué Rodríguez, was very knowledgeable, genuine, helpful, positive and relaxed yet purposeful. On this tour we felt cared for personally and we gained great insight into the history, culture, traditions and food delights of Puebla. We were thinking of booking a hop on-hop off bus tour but are so glad we decided on this excellent tour instead. We would highly recommend it!

Great tour with a great guide. He spoke really good English and was clearly passionate about the history of Puebla. We learned a ton and saw a variety of religious, architectural and cultural sites. Highly recommend.
