Twin Glacier Helicopter Flight from Franz Josef

We had the most wonderful helicopter trip and glacier landing with Glacier Helicopters in Franz Josef. Nothing was too much trouble and the team were helpful and super friendly. Would definitely recommend them.

A genuinely once in a lifetime experience! Superb from start to finish. Professional and efficient preparation and safety briefing by friendly staff on the ground. Helicopter ride itself amazing. Tom, our pilot, was reassuring, informative and knowledgeable. To see, and land, on the glacier was spectacular.

The first reservation was canceled due to poor weather but the rebooked appointment the next was absolutely outstanding. The tour was worth every cent and delivered on all promises. The pilot was incredible - so friendly and informative.

Amazing experience on the glaciers! From the booking process with the friendly and professional Tiana to the check-in while waiting for the pilot’s approval, everything was perfect. The entire staff was exceptional. The experience itself was outstanding and truly unforgettable. Landing on a glacier like Fox Glacier is an honor and a unique emotion. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, weather did not cooperate with our plans. It was extremely foggy for our tour date, but the staff rebooked us for the following day. We went through all of the safety training and were waiting by the helipad when our second excursion was canceled again due to weather. Mother nature always has the final say! The staff offered to rebook us, but we had to move onto our next location. The staff was completely understanding and refunded our payment.

Booked last minute for a flight around Mount Cook and the glaciers with a snow landing. Sadly, we were down graded as Mt Cook at the time was still in cloud. However, it was still the most amazing experience! Rich, our pilot was really informative about the glaciers and the surrounding area. Luckily for us the cloud had cleared when we flew up there but it was still too windy to approach the other side of Mt Cook but we were just so happy to see it in all its glory! Landing on the glacier was surreal and I have to say was one of the most memorable experiences of our holiday. Thanks to the whole team (the lovely bookings lady and the check-in/safety team and the pilot) for your professionalism, humour and reassurance! Would highly recommend!!!!

The trip was re-booked due to weather, but the re-booked trip was wonderful and exhilarating. The pilot was also very patient and helpful as I'd had a bad fall two days before and had trouble walking. Thank you all for your kindness and a terrific trip.
