Hierve el Agua, Tule Tree, Mitla and Mezcal Distillery Tour

This is a real long day trip tour
If you are staying a few days in Oaxaca, this is the tour you need to do
It takes more than 10 hrs, because we cover several places you need to know in Oaxaca
The first stop is the legendary Tule tree, with more than 2 thousand years
The second stop is to visit a traditional rug workshop in Teotitlán del Valle, recognized for housing great masters rug artisans
And then, we visited Mitla Archeological site, one of the most beautiful and enigmatic places in Oaxaca.
Finally we visited Hierve el Agua!! One of the natural wonders in Oaxaca, the petrified waterfalls of Hierve el agua.
On the way back to the city, we visited a traditional mezcal distillery. There you can get free mezcal samples.

Adriel and Jose were friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Hierve Aguas beautiful views, be prepared for walking. Mezcal tasting was enjoyable. Overall, great experience.

This is the best tour that you can do in Oaxaca! It's a long day but worth every second. You see and learn so much about the Zapotec population. Probably the best One Day Tour I've ever been on.

Very intersting Archeologial and natural places visited. Visitors should be aware that at the temples there are many steep steps without rails. Those with li limited climbing ability will miss out on on some of the above. This was a combinedEnglishri and spanish language group Those spwaking English didnt see to get quite the same depth of info FAR TOO MUCH TIME SPENT MERCHANDISING MESCAL AT THE END OD THE TRIP!

Excellent trip, very well organised. Our guide Kevin and our driver were brilliant. It’s a lot to fit in one day but all the experiences were worth doing. We went primarily for the petrified falls but the Mezcal tasting and the rug weavers ended up being the most interesting and fun.

Frankly i felt like it was more of a”take you there “ than an interesting local insiders view of the places we visited. I was expecting a more in depth descriptions of the places we visited. I also found the location of pick up and drop off inconvenient to the center, which is really where most tourists stay. The overall feeling was of being hurried.We were always meeting up with other tourists groups so i expect this has more to do with percentages being paid for products other than actual authenticity.

- Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
