Teide by Night: Sunset & Stargazing with Telescopes Experience

Great evening. The guide was very informative...Stefan?? The meal was the weakest part of the night, the stargazing and info was brilliant.

What a fantastic day/evening we had. The event started with a 2.30 pickup at our hotel. The pickups took quite a long time (about an hour) before we were ready to start the tour. We then went up into the mountains stopping for a loo stop and a coffee if we wished. We progressed further into the mountains and stopped to take photographs of the magnificent landscape created by the lava which historically had flowed from the volcanos. Our final stop was at the top of the mountains to watch the sun set from above the clouds. Magnificent. On our way down we were treated to a very nice 3 course meal. Soup, chicken with veg and potatoes and chocolate mousse. Our final stop of the night was to the telescopes. Where the guide pointed out different stars eg the North Star, Saturn and others. Then we headed back to the hotels. It was a really nice evening taking approx. 8 hours all together. Well worth the money in my opinion. The guide Pepe was VERY knowledgeable and had a really good sense of humour.

The sunset in Teide was truly magical and it was a beautiful experience to share with my husband. It was emotional!! Some hot tea was provided and appreciated whilst we waited for the sun to set. Along the way, we stopped to look at the otherworldly landscapes forming the craters of the volcano. Our tour guide Nico, was full of great information about astronomy, and full of amazing facts about the Canary Islands. He had a lovely sense of humour. We had a dinner at a local restaurant and sadly, the quality of the food wasn’t great. This part of the tour needs improving. Nico then guided us through a map of the stars in the night sky (sadly, cloud cover made this a bit difficult and we realise you can’t control nature). It was super interesting to look through the telescopes to see Saturn, and its rings, a double cluster of stars and the surface of the moon. Wrap up warm, as the climate is much colder at night. Blankets are provided. Our driver Oswaldo did an amazing job navigating the roads going through the Teide national park. Thank you for a lovely evening experience.

This is a great tour. Very clean coaches. Knowledgable and courteous guide (Dominique) and driver. Scenery was outstanding. The tour is a longish afternoon/evening but it makes the best of a beautiful sunset accross dramatic scenery. Stargazing (although chilly) was great. Wrap up warm and enjoy.

Driver Tito, host Elena.. Itinery 7/10 Advertised "toast sunset with Cava" - we were given mint tea ot fruit juice. No Bubbly offered. I wished we'd stop enroute for a photo opportunity above the clouds...Ive visited before and sone great spots were avoided. Meal 7/10.. wine was good, food ok. Stargazing - telescopes not like pictured on flyers. Too small, could hardly distinguish the Saturn rings. (Similar trip to Eygpt desert put them to shame). Plenty of energy by the guide and quite informative - we responded to their request for a tip. Overall enjoyed the 160€ experience for the 2 of us but it could have been a lot better.

Had a fantastic experience from being picked up at 3pm until being dropped off at 10.30pm. Our guide Jesper was brilliant he was so knowledgeable about the island of Tenerife and astronomy and also very entertaining and sociable. Would highly recommend this trip.

Our guide was so kind and knowledgeable - he gave us facts and stories about the island on the way up, then obviously knew his stuff when it comes to geology and stars. the landscapes in the national park are incredible - we had clear skies for 3/4 of the time - we were a bit unlucky with some cloud cover during the star gazing at the end, but there’s lots of different parts to the trip, and we still had a great time. thank you for a lovely tour.

It was an amazing experience, although very cold. The driver & Isabel, the tour guide, were both fab. The only downside was, we didn’t get a good sunset, but, of course, that was nobody’s fault. The star gazing was brill, being able to look through professional telescopes. We were looked after very well, being provided with blankets if needed. The meal was fine, with plenty of drink, alcoholic or non alcoholic. All in all it was good value for money.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip, our guide Isobel called us all stars but in fact she is the star. Very funny, knowledgeable and engaging. Wasn't bored at any point. Lots of stops along the way up the mountain so did not feel we were driving all day. The barraquito drink definitely worth a try at 2 €. Sunset was beautiful, star gazing magical, telescopes allowed for us to see the moon, Saturn and a constellation. The meal is ok, lots of beer and wine of you want. I wasn't sure whether to book in case we were disappointed having paid a bit for the trip, so glad I took the plunge, really lovely day out, made our holiday. Bring warm clothes for the evening it gets very windy and cold.

Actual experience was great, knowledgeable tour guide, reasonable dinner and great star gazing with the telescopes and laser pointing. Thoroughly enjoyable However, star knocked off for the long journey to the start.... almost 2 hours from pick up, due to the number of locations to collect all other passengers.
