Lac Escondido & Fagnano: Aventure 4x4 Hors-Piste Inoubliable

Excellent chauffeur, aimable, souriant, disponible. Excursion conviviale au cœur de la nature. Seul bémol, question confort, le 4x4 est adapté pour 5 et non 6 personnes. La place du milieu derrière le chauffeur est très étroite et inconfortable. Sinon belle expérience.

Had a fantastic day. Tour company made a special effort to place me with an English speaking guide. He and I chatted about everything from cars to fishing to stuff about the tour. Made the day even better! This tour is a fantastic way to spend a day.

Friendly tourism trip up the mountains with beautiful scenery and delicious food all in one package. Really get to know more about Argentina from the tour guide and I had the chance to try my new favorite wine from the Mendoza region.

A good trip. We were able to see some amazing views and travelling in a 4x4 certainly enhanced the experience. Our guide was very pleasant but didn't provide much information on the beautiful scenery and the stops. The first stop for coffee was very poor. The hot chocolate, coffee and pastries were very poor quality. The off road 4x4 part of the journey was a bit pointless and just went round in a circle, it was off road for no apparent reason other than to experience off road driving. We felt it was unnecessary and would have preferred an option to omit this. The lunch was ok but not great. The vegetarian option again was very poor. Overall this is a great trip to see some fabulous views of Patagonia but the catering fell short. We would still recommend this trip but be prepared it is not a good dining experience. Definitely needed more explanation and information.

You’ll get picked up by a 4x4 SUV, everything ok. Driver was really funny, professional and knowledgeable of the area, flora and fauna. Fagnano Lake was absolutely awesome, and the driver prepares a totally great value for money meal which includes wine, choripán and meat (he even prepared vegan option for two of the group travelers), so everything great to that point. The only issue was that tour description mentions two lakes, the Escondido Lake you only stop by at one “watch site” for around 10-15 minutes, so that shouldn’t be charged as part of the tour per se. Other than that, nice day trip.

Nice driving tour through back roads to Lake Fagnano, which is remarkably beautiful. However we wished there was more time built in to walk or hike around, most of the time was spent in the car just looking out the window. The driver didn't speak much, it would have been nice to have more explanation of what we were looking at, stories or something. They did prepare and serve a very good and plentiful asado lunch at a comfortable cabin in the woods, which was probably the highlight of the day.

Diego was an excellent guide! My husband and I were the only English speakers on the tour so we didn’t necessarily get a lot of detailed explanation about the stops but were still able to enjoy the trip, scenery and especially the lunch.

What a great day! As a solo traveller I felt comfortable and welcomed. Our guide Diego was informative and funny. The itinerary was perfect, but of driving, make a stop, repeat. The lakes were stunning and topped off with a huge, delicious lunch. We were lucky with the weather but a fantastic trip, highly recommend.

Fabulous, our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and FUN. Give him a bonus!!! Off-road was terrific and lunch was an experience!! Worth every penny!!
