Este galardonado museo viviente exhibe la cultura única y diversa de Sarawak en un entorno accesible y amigable para los visitantes, a solo 45 minutos de Kuching. Edificaciones auténticas se encuentran en un sitio escénico de 17 acres y están habitadas por miembros de los numerosos grupos étnicos de Sarawak, dedicados a sus actividades cotidianas. Estas incluyen tallado en madera y bambú, trabajos con cuentas, tejidos, procesamiento de sagú, fabricación de tela con corteza de árbol, entre otros. Podrás aprender a lanzar un trompo, probar una cerbatana Penan o interpretar una melodía en un sape de Orang Ulu. El recorrido concluye con una colorida presentación cultural multiétnica en el miniteatro con aire acondicionado del pueblo.

Tener todas las culturas en el show de Sarawak en un solo lugar fue excelente. Visitamos todas y cada una de las unidades en el sitio y nos impresionó la exhibición elaborada de las viviendas y los artefactos. El rendimiento cultural al final de nuestra visita fue excelente. En el pasado visitamos un pueblo cultural similar en Sabah y este recorrido fue comparable, si no más elaborado. No se puede perder, mientras que en Kuching, Sarawak.

La compilación de todas las casas tradicionales de las tribus en un lugar fue simplemente excelente. Las actuaciones en el Show hicieron sentir a los visitantes bienvenidos. No te pierdas este lugar.

A wellnworth visit to see the whole of the Sarawak region in one place. Our guide. Richard was very good and explained each tribes culture and with the local people within each of the areas, the place comes alive. To finish there is a full culture show.

The village has clear potential to be fantastic - but- is in need of some serious maintenance - questionable safety in places. Could do with more information about how people lived and features of the houses. At the Chinese house we learned about pepper production which was great and some houses provided a bit of music and dancing. The show at the end is excellent. Our driver was kind but a bit unclear, erratic and didn’t seem very familiar with the place.

Excellent way to see the traditional houses without going into to jungle. Really authentic. The cultural performance show was also great

Great for couples or families. Interactive displays and exhibits. Even with some travel within Asia we found it a rewarding experience and strongly recommend at least a half day visit. The performances at the cultural center were worth waiting for. Getting there requires a taxi or a tour as it is not easy to get to. Still worth the visit!
