Etna y Taormina: ¡Aventura Siciliana Inolvidable desde Mesina!

Elegimos este pequeño grupo, solo 8 de nosotros en total, excursión sobre la excursión del crucero del mismo nombre. Nuestra guía, Tania, estaba bien informada y muy atenta con nosotros. Un viaje lateral, no anunciado como parte de la gira, fue una visita a un negocio local que vendía todos los productos locales, miel, vinos, limoncello, jabones, etc. Fue agradable apoyar un pequeño negocio local. También paramos en la pastelería favorita de Tania para Cannoli, ¡muy sabrosa! . Descubra que Messina nos recogió en el crucero y se aseguró de que estuviéramos a tiempo. A través de que se nos advirtió que podría estar fresco en la montaña, no teníamos suficiente ropa abrigada. Un abrigo de invierno el día que visitamos podría haber sido una buena idea. Nos regalaron agua y una pastelería local.

Nuestra familia (6 de nosotros) visitó Messina durante un crucero de MSC la semana del 27 de julio al 3 de agosto. Reservamos una excursión privada para visitar el Monte Etna y Taormina. Nuestra guía turística Tania estuvo allí para saludarnos cuando desembarcamos del barco. El autobús turístico estaba estacionado muy cerca de donde desembarcamos, lo cual fue muy conveniente, por lo que rápidamente comenzamos nuestro recorrido. Tania era encantadora, muy amable y cálida, ¡de inmediato nos sentimos como si fuera una de la familia! Tania nos ofreció unas deliciosas galletas locales para disfrutar en nuestro viaje. Primero visitamos el Monte Etna, y Tania sugirió que subiéramos en teleférico hasta la cima: ¡INCREÍBLE! Muy contento de haberlo hecho. Luego de allí fuimos a Taormina, probablemente el lugar más hermoso que he visto en mi vida. Tuvimos tiempo suficiente para almorzar en un pequeño gran restaurante que sugirió Tania, y caminamos y compramos por un tiempo antes de regresar al autobús turístico. Mis hijos estaban encantados de que el autobús turístico tuviera wifi para el viaje de ida y vuelta. Tania nos devolvió a la nave en tiempo más que suficiente. Ella fue increíble, gran guía turístico, recomendaría encarecidamente! !

This was an amazing tour! Our tour guide was very friendly and pointed all the different villages, facts, and history. The boat ride along the coast was amazing with stop at the Blue Grotto and also a stop to swim. The boat driver was also great! I would highly recommend this tour and going to Sicily! We will be back.

I had a fantastic experience on the Etna and Taormina tour from Messina! The guide was super nice, friendly, and very knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting facts throughout the trip. Mount Etna was absolutely stunning, and Taormina was beautiful with its charming streets and amazing views — I just wish we could have stayed there a bit longer. Everything was well organized and perfectly paced overall. Highly recommend this tour!

We had a great tour with Carmelo, he was very friendly and informative, he told us all the authentic places to eat in our stop in Taormina. Was a great day!

Excellent tour and guide. Our guide. Claudia was exceptional and explained everything all along the way. Visiting Etna was a great experience and from theee we headed to Taormina where we had a bite to eat and strolled the main street before heading back to the ship.

Tour guide Sara was really good sharing lots of information. We saw the hotel that was demolished in 2002 (?) eruption plus some drinks tasting. Touramina is well worth a visit including the amphitheater.

Sarah did an excellent job as tour guide. However, for those sitting in the back of the small tour bus, the trip was absolutely overshadowed by the incredibly poor quality of the tour bus. I’m sure there were no shocks at all, and every time the driver went over a bridge expansion joint, the tail end would bounce in the air. I’d recommend the tour guide, but certainly not this experience.

Amazing views of the smoking volcano and lava fields. Follow the instructions regarding footwear and jacket. The trails around Etna can be slippery with loose gravel Taormina is a charming town for shops and restaurants with amazing views of the mountains and the sea.

What a fantastic day visiting Mt. Etna and Taormina. We were only 12 people on the tour so it was almost as good as a private tour. Comfortable and clean bus with USB charging. Carmelo was a fountain of information. Mother Nature was very kind as we had clear skies to view the volcano. And what a view! We just thought we would see it from an outlook point but no! We boarded an expedition type vehicle that only took our group further up so we could get out and do a small hike and take as many photos as we wanted! Then we went off to Taormina where we had about 1.5 hours to tour on our own. Try the Arancini at StritFud! I highly recommend this tour if you go to Sicily or as a shore excursion from Messina.
