San Sebastian's Ultimate Pintxos: Old Town Gourmet Journey

We went on this Pintxos after reading the recommendations online and indeed the tour did not disappoint! We had a wonderful Tour Guide called Sara, she hand picked all the pintxos bars we went to where we were treated to amazing array of Basque food. Each mouthful was a delight.. it was also a brilliant way to see the old town of San Sebastian and get a feel for the area. Subsequently, we were able to visit some of the restaurants we had been to on this tour. I would definitely recommend this to anybody visiting San Sebastian.

Incredible food tour thru Old Town w Esther. The food and wine choices were perfect and Esther was outstanding !!!!

Be sure to bring your appetite! Our guide, Carla, was knowledgable, enthusiastic, and took us to places we would not have found on our own. We sampled a great variety of local flavors and ended the tour with a fabulous Basque cheesecake. Well worth it!

Simply fantastic Sara was exceptional! This is absolutely worth doing. What a delicious, social, and fantastic evening.

It was excellent. Such a nice way to see the old town. I arrived today and this was my first activity. Our guide was amazing. He told us about the food and wine, but also shared information and answered questions about area, Basque history and culture… so much! The group size was small. There were three couples and me. Everyone mingled and chatted easily. It was such a lovely experience. I’d recommend it fully.

We had such a fantastic time with San Sebastian Pintxos Tours and our guide, Sara. The whole tour was really well planned, and every stop felt special. Sara made sure all of our dietary requirements were looked after, which made things so easy. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared so much about the local food and culture. We got to try pintxos and dishes we never would have chosen ourselves – and loved them! An absolute highlight of our trip to San Sebastian, and we’d highly recommend it.

We would really recommend this tour. Our guide was Esther who expertly guided us through the bars of San Sebastian on a wet Monday night. Pintxos and wine were excellent wherever we went.

A wonderful experience. Delicious food and wine and Clara was a fantastic host! I wish I could bring her with me on my next holiday! ☺️ If you want to try the best traditional and non traditional pinxtos without the anxirty of ordering and getting tables on a packed small restaurant do this tour!

What you really want on holiday is that fabulous friend/auntie/mystical Mary Poppins guide who takes your arm into theirs and says "follow me, I got you, let me show you everything this place has to offer" and then in said movie youd be whisked around the streets on a wonderful adventure that you felt so lucky to have experienced that you simultaneously wanted to keep it a treasured secret forever but also tell the world....On a balmy Saturday eve (an unusually high 34 degrees) we met Clara and this magical dream became a reality- excitedly meeting the small group she skipped through the streets bursting with energy and brimming with stories that she simply had to share- there was no sense of work, no sense that she had probably regaled these tales hundreds of times instead each nugget felt like it truly mattered, tables reserved the FANTASTIC food came thick and fast, with no restrictions and rules of its only one dish here or one drink there, no...the food came thick and fast, the wonderful wines poured freely and honestly guided around the streets of San Sebastian for three hours by this gem really, truly felt like such a special one off treat that it kind of makes me sad of anyone else getting to do it- but do it you MUST- for the amazing food, the drinks, the ambience, the wisdom but most of all for Clara x
