Unforgettable Pompeii, Amalfi & Positano VIP Day Tour

John was timely and very knowledgeable about all the areas we visited. He took us to a little village that was quaint called Ravello that was breathtaking. And then we proceeded to the Amalfi Coast where we had time to shop, eat and see the beach. After that we chose to do Pompeii and highly recommend getting a tour guide for the short amount of time you have there. The best preserved ruins we have ever seen. We lucked out with a great weather day.

We booked private excursion to Amalfi Coast from Naples. Communication before and during was excellent. Picked us up directly at cruise port. Vehicle was nice Mercedes van. Driver was well, dressed and courteous and very professional. He had water ready for us on board. He asked us what we would like to do and planned our day around us. We decided not to do Pompeii this time but the driver provided a significant information about recent eruptions in the history that was very accurate as we drove around Mount Vesuvius. The small road to Amalfi is nothing short of extraordinary. However, it is not for the faint of heart and those intimidated by extreme height and somewhat treacherous windy mountain roads should consider carefully. There were many times we were looking over small stone wall over 500 foot cliffs with no visible bottom. But the views are jaw dropping. Trip was 1.5 hour one way from Naples port to Amalfi coast. Would do again.!!

Carmine was amazing! We had a perfect day and got to see it all and more. 10 out of 10 because of the great service provided by our new friend, Carmine.

This tour was amazing! We toured the Amalfi Coast, walking the streets of Amalfi and Positano, stopping at the best overlooks, then finished the day in Pompeii. Carmine was an amazing tour guide. Best guide we’ve had on any trip this vacation.

Amazing day trip from Naples! We got to see sooo much, but it was still a very relaxing day, great drop-off and pick-up points at the various locations (and one of the best parts: we did not have to worry about parking!)

This was one of our favorite tours on our 2 week trip and I am so glad we booked with Amalfi Day tours. (We are a family of four with two children 11/13). We switched tour companies to book with them a few weeks before our trip and the entire staff at Amalfi day tours was lovely to work with (Rosy was great via email). Our driver, Francesco, picked us up at the Naples cruise port—it was extremely hectic there that day with many cruise ships—but we found him and were on our way. The van was a clean, Mercedes van and he was a safe driver. He did a great job explaining the history of the areas. He is a driver and had to stay with the car, so he would give us directions and drop us off for independent tours of the town. We arrived in Pompeii after a 20 minute drive and met Grace our tour guide. (I strongly recommend paying extra for the tour guide—-we would not have really understood Pompeii without her insight). I was a little worried when we hadn’t purchased tickets in advance but she was a total pro getting us to the front of the ticket line and into to the site quickly. She was an excellent tour guide and did a great job giving us an overview of the history, architecture and daily life of Pompeii. This tour was our biggest surprise of the trip—-it exceeded our expectations and we could have spent two days there! We got some souvenirs and headed out in the van to our next stop. The drive through the Milky Mountains was beautiful, but windy (no one got car sick). Bring a few Euros—we stopped at a little roadside stand to take pictures and got some lemon treats. We stopped in Ravello and enjoyed walking around a less crowded town. We then went to Amalfi to walk around. It was extremely crowded in Amalfi—the streets and shops were very crowded. We were able to sit down and have lunch at a casual restaurant that Francesco recommended—It was quick and delicious. Overall, an amazing tour company that I would highly recommend with an excellent driver, tour guide and office staff.

This company is amazing! John and Rosy in the planning office were great! Super responsive via WhatApp once we arrived. Our driver Carmen was also amazing. He told us so many interesting facts while driving and changed up our tour on the fly that day adding some stops we did not plan for on the way back - just making it simply amazing. Grace our private guide at Pompeii was also fantastic. She was passionate, knowledgeable and we were so lucky to have her guide us. I highly recommend using them while on the Amalfi coast. A small family run company that simply was the best!

We made a last-minute booking through Viator and had John as a driver for the day to take us from Naples to Positano. It is super helpful, accommodating knowledgeable, and was delight to have company. Thanks to the entire team and would take this tour in the future and highly recommend.
