Exclusive Olympia: Private Ancient Games Birthplace Tour

Great trip! Our driver Cristo was great. Picked us up in a nice comfortable Mercedes. Took us to the museum & ruins but also customized the trip based on our conversation. Cristo made us feel like friends/family everyone he introduced us to was so welcoming.

We had a great tour with Andreas. He was a wealth of information and was very attentive to meeting and exceeding our expectations.

Driver was courteous and very respectful, informative, and on time. Had a wonderful lunch and shopping in the village.

Very personal tour, Nancy and Marilena were flexible and took us to the site we wanted to see. We loved Olympia and had an opportunity to see the Honey Farm.

Dimitra was absolutely amazing! She didn’t speak very good English, but made great use of a translator app and gave all of us really good information for everywhere we went. The tour was very scenic and a great way to get to see the sights all around Katakolon! Dimitra was also prepared for the possibility of rain and so she provided us with umbrellas and even had water ready for us as well. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Dimitra and her husband Andreas!

Nancy was a lovely human being. She cared so much about doing what we wanted to do. We wanted to go off the advertised tour and she had no problem doing it. We went to places that were not overcrowded. The tour was very personalized and special. Rarely do you connect with your guide as want to give hugs all around. A very memorable tour for us, as was our guide. Thank you, Nancy.

We have just had a wonderful trip with Nancy as our driver and guide. First to Olympia site, Olive oil tasting and then a monastery high in the hills. Nancy was wonderful , very friendly and knowledgeable. Would have no hesitation in recommending this company. Thank you for a great day

We had a very enjoyable day taking this tour from the port of Katakolon. Marilena was our driver and she did a great job getting us safely where we wanted to go and provided narration along the way. The first part of our our tour was the achaeological ruins of Olympia. She showed us where to buy our tickets for the site/museum combo and then picked us up when we were done. I'm grateful that she provided us a book (Olympia and the Olympic Games - the momuments then and now) to take with us into the site. Otherwise we would not have known what we were looking at. The book is so awesome that I bought a copy of it when I returned to the US. Anyway, other than that we hung around some other tour groups and gleaned from what we could hear their guides saying. The second part of our trip was to Klio's Honey Farm. We enjoyed this very much! Marilena gave us a choice of visiting the honey farm, or a vineyard, or a place that produces olive oil. The third part of our trip was to visit downtown Olympia. She showed us where to get the food we wanted, we visited a few shops, and she helped us get pictures. Our final stop was a quick visit to a gorgeous rocky/sandy beach area. Breathtaking views and few minutes with our feet in the water. She dropped us off in the city center or Katakolon with plenty of time to spare to get to the ship, so we were able to leisrely stroll through the shops and purchase souvenirs. Olympia/Katakolon was our fourth and final port in Greece, so we were appreciative of the time to spend on our own. One other final thing about Marilena was that she went out of her way to help us mail postcards. That was super helpful to us and we would absolutely recommend hiring a private driver to make the most of your cruise ship excursion. The whole day it was just me, my husband, and Marilena. The only thing that might have been nice would have been a guide in the archaeological area - but I appreciate the extra mile with her providing the book. A great day overall!

We did a private tour with Nancy and it was great. We were picked up right at the port and proceeded to the archeological site at Olympia. Nancy did not accompany us at the site but she did give us a book to explain what we were seeing. We then moved on to a family run honey farm, an olive manufacturing building and finished at a seaside restaurant. Nancy was an insightful guide and a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
