Milan to Bernina Express: Epic Swiss Alps Panoramic Train Tour

Make sure you are ready to go upon pick up if you’ve chosen the option; immediately get in line for the bus who’s waiting upon arrival at meeting point. People are waiting in line already as you arrive. The ride to Saint Moritz is 2.5 hours but will have ONE rest stop on the way. Upon arrival the tour guide will tell you the meeting point DO Not Miss this because we did but thankfully I had WhatsApp and company # and was able to contact them. Also, important to remember your guide name or even bus driver. Enjoy time your time because we certainly did and our ride on the Bernina train was amazing and unforgettable. We will definitely come again. A worthwhile trip. The train ended at Terrano and we were picked up by our bus for 2.5 hrs ride back to meeting place; Remember guide said use restroom because no stops on return trip and no drop off option so one must get taxi back to hotel upon arrival. The bus ride up was just as interesting as the actual train ride. We had poor visibility due to the weather but it was still a good way to see the magnificent alps.

Failed to meet expectations. 1. Sold as an English tour only- - not true. 2, The tour was 100% full. The train portion was one rail car reserved which created a 100% packed car. Therefore 1/2 the customer did not have window viewing and I impossible for other to get access for photos. It was a terrible cramped situation and it wasn’t necessary because there was a lot of open seating in the other rail cars

Very long day but beautiful even on a rainy day. You can see lake Como on the way. The train ride is fantastic. Two types of trains, one is older but has the ability to lower the window. The more modern experience has wrap over windows but cannot open. This makes a difference due to window distortion for photos, especially due to rain or window smudging. Our guide was a smoker and had a very gruff voice that was many times incomprehensible. We missed much of what he was saying and it dampened the experience!

It was fantastic. Mario was a great tour guide. Honestly, he was very funny also if I did this agin, wouldn’t he and anyone else. The driver was also very safe driving and polite.

It is a must do! Although a long day the Alps sites are one off, a rare opportunity to visit St Moritz and transverse this magnificent mountain range.

It must include a one-day activity in the itinerary, where you will see a lot of panoramic views, pristine natural resources, and have a wonderful experience. Shout out for our tour guide Sara, she’s an amazing guide and explains everything in detail.

Would suggest if you have a chance to take this trip/tour it is well worth your time - the places you visit are awesome and most of the views are breath-taking - our tour guide Marrisomo attached photo - had the most awesome raspy voice and was meant for the role. Highly suggest - would do it again with friends.

The trip was not clear. We actually had to take a long bus ride up to St. Moris, and after a short sta of about 1.5 hours had to race down to the trail for its departure The trail had windows for the view, but half the passengers had to sit on isle seats, so thier views were very restricted. Too crowded and many upset by test restrictions and other passanger rudeness.. not worth the money especially if you did not get a good window seat.

For the bad .. That there is walking involved. If you have mobility issues or can't walk for a distance this isn't for you. Tour people need to have proper pickup points. We had to wait in a sketchy part of Milan at 6am. They should've had one local point to meet for all passengers like at Milano Visitor Center where Zani business is at. Don't have to meet at 6am as we didn't leave for the actual tour until after 8am. Waste of time. There were people complaining once on the train because we have ability to open the window to take pics/ video but there were some saying it was too cold (was 65f outside). We offered our seats and they didn't want to switch. The breakfast should be longer than just 30min. Felt rushed to get something to eat because there's a line to purchase it. Breakfast should be minimum of 45min and also 2 more mini breaks about 15-30min each. When we got to St Moritz guide said 90 min free time but it was actually like 40-45min. People on tour were frustrated about that. Didn't really have that much time to see or do anything maybe a store then walk back to train. For the good Once on the train the views were just amazing, I'd say this area is for the wealthy in St Moritz. The Swiss Alps is just WOW beautiful. Make sure you have enough memory on your phone or enough storage on your memory card. When in St Moritz use your credit card because they'll give you change in their currenxy and it's not Euros.
