Our guide Maria was very knowledgeable about this subject, it was a very touching tour and very respectful tour, Maria also provided movies or documentaries to watch which cross referenced and also happily assisted with stations we needed to get off at after the tour, places for food and good coffee. I would definitely recommend this tour and particularly with Maria, Thankyou Maria for the insight on this tour.

Our Sachsenhausen tour was excellent. Mikey, our guide, was very knowledgeable, gave very detailed historical context for the grounds, victims and perpetrators. You could tell he had great interest in the history and he presented the history in a detailed, yet respectful manner. The grounds are well kept. I give Germany a lot of credit for keeping this history alive in an effort to educate people what humanity is capable of when we spiral into divisive hatred of others to the point of believing them to be and treating them as sub-human. Unfortunately, if this history was not kept alive, it would give power to those that deny it happened and that it can happen again. Such tours should be required for all to educate us on what humanity it capable of and to see what the intolerance that is growing today can lead to.

Visiting the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp was a deeply moving and educational experience. Our tour guide, a native English speaker, did an excellent job explaining the complex and tragic history of the site with clarity and respect. Her detailed introduction provided valuable context about the camp’s role during the Nazi era and its impact on both prisoners and the surrounding community.
