We had a great time on our tour of the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Our tour guide, Lorenzo, was very knowledgable and passionate about the buildings and their histories. We really learned a lot from him. The works of art in the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's are beautiful. We also toured the grottoes (included in tour), which was a unique experience. This tour consists of a fair amount of walking, but it's not hard. Also, the ear pieces provided by the Vatican (not the tour operator), were a little clumsy.

Best tour and definitely worth the money! Felt very comfortable as a solo female traveller :) And Marco was very knowledgeable of the area and history. Definitely recommend the tour including the basilica.

Lara was exceptional! Her knowledge was amazing and she kept us very entertained throughout the entire tour! I would highly recommend her if you are taking the Vatican tour!

Giovanni was a great guide he was very knowledgeable and funny I wasn’t bored when I was listening to him so that great! By far this tour was the best part of my trip and I really appreciate him for being so friendly and welcoming!

Carl was AMAZING!! He made the tour so informational!! He knew so much about everything that was in the museum and explained Michelangelo’s painting on the Sistine chapel SO well it made the entire tour so much better!!!!

There is so much to see in Vatican, Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica that it can be overwhelming. The tour made the experience more manageable by providing valuable insights and background and by helping us to focus on the most important aspects.

Disclaimer: If you do the tour please make sure to wear clothing that is appropriate and do your hair. No hats or beanies allowed inside the church. Our tour guide Marco was awesome, accommodating, and made sure our group enjoyed the tour. Please keep in mind there are things that are out of the tour guides control. We had to do our tour out of sequence because St. Peter’s Basilica was hosting a mass in the morning that closed the church to the public. So we started with a tour of the church first and l am so glad that we did because we got to enjoy more time inside of the Vatican (which normally you would start before St. Petersburg Basilica). I would definitely do this tour again with Marco.

- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
