Very informative on the origins and development of chocolate, from South America to Europe. Uses hand held audio players which worked well. Certainly worth a visit.

This museum is all about the history and manufacture of chocolate. The displays are great fun and very informative. We now know lots more about chocolate!

It’s ok I expected more. You go at your own pace but it's a little boring to listen only without human interaction

Check out my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more footage of our experience. We had such a great time at Choco-Story Brussels. • We learned about the fascinating history of Belgian chocolate. • We watched skilled chocolatiers create delicious treats right in front of us. • And of course, we enjoyed tasting a variety of authentic chocolates. The museum felt interactive, fun, and easy to follow. We booked our visit through GetYourGuide, which made everything smooth and hassle-free. If you’re in Brussels and love chocolate as much as we do, this is an experience you shouldn’t miss.

Choco story is great! You get to see the in depth history of chocolate all while in the leading chocolate country in the world (sorry Switzerland.) I loved every minute. Easy 5 stars.

I visited Choco-Story as part of my recce for a future Urban Chocolate Safari® in Bruges, and it’s certainly a stop that earns its place on the map. Housed in a 16th-century former wine tavern, the museum leads you on a journey through chocolate’s fascinating history — from the Mayan and Aztec rituals right through to Belgium’s praline traditions. The layout is self-guided with a handy audio device, which makes it easy to linger at the sections that catch your curiosity. For me, the live praline demonstration and tasting were the real highlights. There are also dispensers offering couverture chocolate along the route, which adds a playful, hands-on element. For groups, the option to book a chocolate-making workshop (bars, lollies, or mendiants) is a strong bonus — perfect for those who want a memory they can taste and take home. From a professional point of view, I’d have liked a little more on the ethics and modern realities of cocoa farming — something I’ll weave into my Safari storytelling. And at peak times the museum does get crowded, so I’d recommend timing your visit for mid-morning or late afternoon. Overall, Choco-Story provides a lively introduction to Bruges’ chocolate heritage and works as a foundation before heading out to explore the city’s artisan chocolatiers. As part of my Safari route, I see it as both educational and enjoyable — a sweet balance of history, craft, and tasting that will appeal to visitors of all ages.

A good family outing for around 2hours. Everyone gets their own headset to listen to the information at their own speed, childrens versions kept my 10 and 7 year olds entertained throughout. Some interactive displays which they enjoyed and the chocolate buttons at the end were a great bonus! Nice trip to break up the sight seeing

This is more of a kids museum with plastic figurines and coca pods. It gets more interesting at the end of the tour with a live demo. Would skip this next time.

My daughter and I came here to get some history behind the story of chocolate in Brussels. The exhibition does really well in explaining where the cocoa comes from and why there is a rich history of chocolate in Brussels. You'll get a small device that you hold against parts of the exhibition and it'll read aloud some text to you, in your language of choice, which helps to keep you interested as you walk around. There is a little bit of free chocolate near the final quarter of the exhibition and that was very tasty. The "live experience" didn't happen, for some reason, so that was disappointing. Overall I'm glad we went and it's oartof the Brussels Card, so was free, but it can get crowded so bear that in mind.

Loved this place! English audio guide to explain throughout the tour, unlimited choc buttons, amazing chocolate statues to view, demonstration… great morning spent here, around 2 hours in total.
